Warburton still talking his usual rubbish, Claims the six and ahalf million he wasted on transfers was money well spent. What an idiot. Think he needs to book in for a very long rest in a Skegness care home for deluded managers, probably find Billy Davies there for company.

From what I have read The Banker as some like to call him intended to bring more young players in, in the January transfer window, how true that is i do not know.

I think he misunderstood the brief from the club, yes they wanted to bring down the age of the players at the club, including bringing on the academy players when possible, but they also wanted to be in contention for the play offs, if not in them.

The Banker seemed to think that Murphy would bring on our young forward players, Vaughan would keep going and bring on our young midfielders, and Mancienne would bring on our young defenders.

Vaughn was never going to last much longer, Mancienne is too quiet to bring on anybody, and Murphy has not played enough to bring on our forward players.

The Banker also made the mistake of failing to bring in enough players that were bulky enough to withstand the bullying tactics quite a lot of teams employ.

While we were winning one, and losing one the club were willing to stick with him as manager even though we were leaking goals too easily, but when the goals started to dry up and we were still leaking goals too easily it was always a matter of time before he was sacked.

Whatever your view of him as a manager he did what he thought we all wanted but the lack of enough experienced players, not enough rough and tough players, and playing players in the wrong positions ultimately cost him his job.

All managers make mistakes, they are humans and it's in our dna to do so.
You could now argue that Karanka is making a mistake by buying too many old players and loans that mostly don't work.
To me I'd like to see someone given the chance to see the job through till the end of their contract.

When you don't you get what's happening now,a total shift in direction from trying to start from scratch bringing young players along and into the club,to going to players with experience but no longterm future or plan beyond a year.

The owners need to get over to a manager what is required when hiring in the first place, problem is they are used to hiring and firing regularily at olmpyiacos .
To me we are back were we were 12 months ago players in 5 loans and a new manager and dicing with relegation.
Let's hope they stick with their convictions this time and give us the stability they promised.
Chopping changing going down different routes has got failure written all over it.

FF79, you make some very good points but we could not carry on conceding goals like we were while not scoring goals and sticking with so many young players.

No one knows how AK will do, but he has solved one problem and that is he has brought in some players that should not be bullied by the opposition.

Should AK turn us into a organised unit and rebuild the players confidence we should be ok this season, then AK has the summer to bring in new defenders, and a couple of strikers, and possibly replace the loan players we can not keep, or want then fingers crossed.

Problem is Robbo we have carried on conceding goals and other than a young Portuguese lad and a dodgy goalie that's what we have till the end of the season minus mills and traore.
Goals have still dried up as well and we continue with the same pattern of play.
Just need to stay up this season at all costs.
No point thinking about the summer until safety is assured.
