I would have been happy with a point against the bottom club before we'd even kicked off yesterday. That in itself shows how low our expectations have fallen. Under MW we knew we'd probably need to score at least 2 goals to win a game, under AK we will probably need to keep a clean sheet just to get a point. 10 players bought in and we're still playing a right back at left back. The biggest concern is the lack of a goal threat which I don't see improving and the decision to let Cummings and Walker go without bringing in a replacement still baffles me. I have never been one for sacking managers and to be clear I'm not saying get rid of AK but I just don't share some of the optimism in him that some fans do. I think they get hung up on the fact he got Boro promoted but we've had managers in the past that have had success at other clubs but they haven't worked out for us. I think we'll probably just stay up as there's 3 or 4 teams worse than us but even given time I can't see this fella getting us anywhere near promotion. Hope I'm wrong and he shows a bit more attacking flair once we're safe but in the meantime we just all need to get behind him and the team and make sure we're still in this division next season.

Pass the ball, bang on about we’ve had others that have done it. Megson, the deranged Scot and the dour Scot. It’s not a transferable outcome sadly.

I agree that we could score under MW but that the goals were drying up which is what I think did for him. The two limp home performances against weds and Sunderland did for him. If he’d have just one one of them or drawn them both I think he’d have survived.

I actually think we’ve got the same amount of points that we’d have got under MW. So no improvement in outcomes at all and even more painful to watch I think.

I agree with all of you and have said right from the start i do not like Karanka tactics.
The only way he will survive long term is to change, most fans who sit around me aren't impressed either.
Unfortunately we all know he won't change.
To me he should have kept traore walker Cummings and clough.
Watson geddy and colback plus Lolly ok signings and he had to bring in centre back so ok with that.
The others are a waste and unfit and in the end we are down to the bare bones both up front and in defense while having far too many midfielders who aren't creative or can score.
Think we all need him to succeed but think it's more in hope than any concrete evidence.

I,ve said it and said L/B should have been his priority not just an after thought.
If you look back over the last 20 years the good runs we,ve had have all been when we,ve had a PROPER left back eg. Shorrey, Bartram ,Cunningham ,ect ,the bad times have been like yesterday ,a man playing out of position.
Let's hope this latest late signing proves to be a real L/B
