I'm confused, when we had Warburton people were crying out for the defence to be tightened up, it has been tightened up.

When Warburton was manager people wanted us to stop being bullied off the ball, pretty much that has happened.

When Warburton was here people wanted us to have players that were more vocal, someone that was not afraid to put the other players in their place and organise them. That has happened.

When Warburton was here people were moaning Smith was not good enough yet and he needed replacing, that has happened.

When Warburton was here people wanted a manager who had experience in getting a team promoted from the Championship, Aitor has done that.

When Dowell's form dropped people wanted him dropped, he has been dropped.

People wanted a Andy Reid type player to come in, we now have that.

There is only so much that can be done in the time Aitor has been with us, is Aitor the perfect manager that never makes mistakes, off course not, there again if he was would he be with Nottingham Forest?

Totally agree Robo
Can’t believe certain people on here being unrealistic about the manager and the perceived negative sides he creates.
Especially how long he has been with us.
AK created a side at Boro using the raw materials he had at his disposal with a few additions and they went up.
Very strong defenders and midfield that knew how to hold a lead and very good finishers up front.
Hopefully given time he will create the same hear.

I think you make many valid points and the manager would appear to have achieved a lot in a very short space of time and I think ( and I say this as someone who on here was supportive of Mr Warburton to the end of the season ) it really is no longer a relevant nor worthwhile discussion.

It really is time perhaps to move on because as sure as eggs are eggs at some point in the future there will be debate on here as to whether or not Mr ( or in this enlightened age ;) Ms so and so should have replaced Mt Karanka. This is the nature of football management

However this is an a banter site and people are entitled to an opinion which I will reasonably respect

Creepy1

I was not using Warburton in order to bash him, i was just stating what some people thought while he was with Forest, and how some of those things have changed.

Aitor is bound to be sacked at some point, then as you say comparisons will be made with him and the new manager.

How can it not be relevant to make a point of the changes that have been made in a short time that people were desperate for.

Club has been class since AK came in, seems he is either been given more control than MW or he communicates better with board. Let alone the improved performances and results but small things like the way social media is being used, the letters season ticket holder got from Watson, the letter all punters got from Karanka at the Birmingham game and the fact McLaren and Warburton who were exactly firm favourites were invited down today to the club. It is simply good form and nice to see. The club seems to be working better as a whole and Today was best atmosphere at City Ground in ages. I truly believe next season AK and his team and the club with our help will make the City Ground a real fortress and we will be very hard to beat. With a few more signings in summer we can be a completely different club. I genuinely have real hope for next season and the future not just hope at the moment as things are being done well and with a touch of class.
