In the main another solid performance really with the back four continuing tp look strong and settled.

United without doubt imo had the best of the first half Clarke had an easy as it gets opportunity to score and I felt us lucky to come off level BUT we did .

Second half was a different matter and we were the better side by some distance but, like United in the first half failed to capitalise on chances we had and on reflection a draw was about right.

The only down side ( apart from freezing my b@@@s off ) performance wise to me were Dowell and Murphy.

For whatever reason Dowell is really struggling at the moment and is a pale imitation of the player he looked when he first came but bear in mind the side ,again in my opinion, are playing much more solidly so perhaps he doesn't shine so much.
Either way I think we have better options bearing in mind he is likely to return to Everton at the end of the season.

Murphy doesn't look at the races to me and hasn't for a while be that for fitness reasons or something else. I wouldn't go as far as to say he doesn't look interested but he looks laboured and predictable most of the time.

Brererton had a typical " Brererton " game with lots of running and plenty of effort and endeavour but produced no real end result.

Clearly the striking situation remains an issue to be sorted down the line bujt meanwhile i think our best hope is for Brererton to nick a couple to boost his confidence.

However I am optimistic of things to come next season and as always . .

Karanka said he’s playing brereton to give the lad some experience. That’s all well and good but I wish he’d get it in another league.!

He can’t get championship experience playing in league 1 or 2 can he?call him all you want he is by far better than Murphy,at least brereton puts himself about a bit.think brereton won more headers than Murphy today as well.

If its a case of getting Brereton up to standard then its 2 up top for the rest of the season with Murphy or Vellios to give him the space and freedom.

FF79 will have another nose bleed with AK not playing 4-2-3-1 but by the end of the season he may just agree we have the right manager on the job?

Red credit for the defensive situation from Karanka.
Did tell you a while back that Eric would not play again and was right.
He's got the defensive situation under control mainly due to having a great defensive pairing in midfield of colback and Watson.
On paper and even if your being honest darikwa and Osborn wudnt be your first choice full backs?
But sometimes the best players don't make the best team.
I made a list of 23 players I think he will offload in the summer if he can.
And if he does and begs Burnley to buy Worrall for say 7 million collects a bit more for some of the others plus a bit of investment.
Sign two good strikers plus a ball playing midfielder who scores like jota then maybe were on to something
Tomlin for me is not a long term answer as there will be fitness issues where the likes of jota won't have those issues.
Away form is excellent the home form needs to improve.
