Was just looking at some other leagues in Europe and noticed Twente are bottom of the Dutch league however after reading a few reports I saw that one of Twentes few stand out performers this season with 3 goals, a 83% pass accuracy, starting 24 of 28 games is no other than Forest loanee, Thomas Lam, a forgotten man!
He is still just 24 and maybe if he has put some muscle on he might be due another chance under AK next season? He has mostly played this season as a defensive midfielder though had also played at centre back too. I had completely forgotten he was still on our books!

Agreed he could develop into a box to box midfielder but the we will have Ryan Yeats pushing for a place next season.

Yes if some of these lads have grown in strength and confidence out on loan maybe AK will bring them back before buying in certain positions. If we have Watson, Bridcutt, Geddy, Yates and Lam do we need to look elsewhere if Colback won’t sign or we aren’t willing to meet asking price?
If Tomlin signs will him and Clough be enough in attacking midfield, Osbourn, Lolley could also fill in there and if Grant or Walker return will they get a chance or will he cut loses with them. Also is it time to give Appiah and Edser a chance in the first team and Ahmedazovic next season? Personally I think the only major position we are crying out for is Leftback but if Fuentes proves himself before the end of the season with Osbourn and potentially even Lichij will AK feel that isn’t priority?!? Will be interesting to see and interesting to see who performs in pre-season too. Could Cummings come back or will Gomis step up? So many questions!!

As it stands we have 34 players plus 4 loans in first team squad and that's not sustainable.
Take away Hobbs ward Henderson Cohen and Vaughan Fuentes dedeggah.
Still leaves 27 which is too large,so there will be a lot of departures.
Appiah Yates gomis edser aren't ready for this league and a promotion push, which is what is required by the owners,so he will buy.
He'll probably get pants on a free as he fourth choice and not wanted at Watford.
Then he'll sign a right back a left back centre back winger two midfielders and two strikers imo.
Eric traore manciene walker clough vellios Murphy Cummings ariybi evtimov boukalakis and maybe McKay will be moved on to make way for these new players who will most likely be proven championship players.
The kids coming through will have to wait as it's the premier that's the required goal and they won't get us there.

Would personally be happy if we can sign Tomlin, Pants and Colback or a similar style of player in midfield. Sell Manchienne, Bouchalakis, Cummings, Traoure, Grant, Vellios, Evtimov, Ariyibi and Mckay. Buy a striker or two and a Left Back and a winger. If we sell Lichij then buy a right back if we can get decent deal. I would keep Clough for now and loan out Smith, Walker and Mcdonagh again and look to send Edser, Gomis, Appiah and Adhemazovic our on loans and bring Yates into first time setup. If we could get a real proven striker or two I would consider loaning our Brereton too.

He's a good option if we cannot keep Colback, I like the idea of Watson and Lam in front of the back four. I'm also a big Geddy fan though so I'm not sure where they'd all fit in. One thing is for sure is next season we'll have great strength in depth across the pitch if AK can get a goal scorer in.

Lam . . are you being serious?

Lam always had a good pass on him but was prone to the odd mistake and got pushed around a bit. he was a bit like Fox! AK has completely changed players mentalities and work ethics, having played a season away coming back to Forest whose to say Lam couldn’t also be a different player? Certainly worth a look before signing expensive players. I like Colback but his wages alone would be huge for us.

Lam was prone to a lot of mistakes
Remember his debut against Burton
Scored a great goal but gave away two and continued to give goals away.
Too lightweight for me and same goes for clough and grant.
Karanka seems to like tall physical players and to be honest so does Warnock Bruce and Pullis and it's got them to the big time.
Lam has been tried and would be a step backwards.
We won't be signing expensive players anyway as they command expensive wages.
We need to get at least ten out of the door and lam is one of them he's not even as good as boukalakis and he needs offloading as well.

I don't know what's wrong.Just lately I find myself agreeing with you 79 more and more.Sure it will be short lived 😂 . Regarding Lam,even without Watson, Colback,Guedioura,Bridcutt,Vaughan, i'd rather give Yates or Edser a run than play him.Sorry but he is one that has to go.
