Regarding England, whilst agreeing with Southgate playing the younger generation, as a manager he doesn't inspire me. I certainly wouldn't run through a brick wall for him. We have a look of a quarter final side (again) and unless Kane plays out of his skin, not sure the rest have got it to take us much further. Whilst enjoying the Crete sunshine in June, I shall be glad to only have to endure England v Tunisia, so can just enjoy the other 24 games in a Mythos blur, hic. 👍.

To be fair to Southgate at least you can see he has a plan and the players are responding.
He is having to change the old guard in defence to play out from the back. However, we lack experience to defend against better teams. At least he is playing round pegs in round holes?
If we play 3 at the back and need to break from the back when pressed then I think Vardy and Lingard are a better fit than Kane and Alli in closing down and breaking?
If he get can them playing without fear and over expectation then we will have a good World Cup and be in contention for the Euro's?

Quarter final is a bit optimistic. Group stage finish I reckon. The national side are not much cop.
