Despite the terible twins and prophets of doom, Skegs and F79, AK will keep us up and will make us a force to be reckoned with for next season. Middlesborough fans swear by the man and after he as had a proper transfer window and shipped out if possible the dross, much of which Warburton is responsible for, eg, poor 34 year old given 4 year contract, you couldn't make it up, Forest will start to make progress as he did at Boro. It will happen, but stay positive you Reds, we would have been in the bottom three now if the banker was still in charge.

Of course we'll stay up, but not for anything Karanka has done,if we sign the loans for next season then we're in trouble.

Goalkeeper whose six foot eight and won't catch the ball in his area.
Collback just doing the same as Watson.
Tomlin talks too much and eats too much.
Fuentes who?
Iranian? Injured
Dowell played on the wing?
Geddy on a contract hardly kicked a ball.

We don't score week in or out and yet he picks the same players mainly.
Admire your confidence in what has so far been a disatoroys appointment.
But never mind give him say 20 mill and he can't fail?

What can possibly go wrong by sticking with him after all he's shown us what to expect next season?
Onwards and upwards?

Lol Retford, we're just stating the obvious. over the last 4-5 games you called Warburton, but this bloke has been no better. so far with his 8 new players, they still can't defend corners or set pieces and now they can't score goals. sorry to state the obvious, but points on the board please.

Too right "brother" 😂
Points starting tomorow, drop colback tomlin vellios and darikwa for starters and put some fresh legs in.
Have a go with pace for a change.
You never know we could stand a chance of winning.

Many of our managers / owners stretching back to clough seem to think you can sell prolific strikers and replace them with has beens won’t be’s or never beens. Why can’t we put the ball in the net ? Because our strikers are hopeless. Take a look at Rob Earnshaws portfolio for forest , that’s why we’ve been nowhere since them days. To be fair a fit fryatt and assombalonga, would I think have done the business, in between those too and Earnshaw we struggled because we signed has beens under Wolley.

As much as we’d love a fairytale story for Walker and Brereton and looks highly unlikely at the minute, it’s particularly heartwarming when a great striker comes from the academy, watching them Dispatch teams week in week out is a great thing to spectate. It might still happen but it’s not likely in the near future.

So here is the problem, as many say on here you are never going to keep a clean sheet every week, warburton definitely wasn’t. So WTF was he doing signing Murphy and thinking Walker and Brereton could do a job? More pointedly WTF was Karanka doing making all those signings and not addressing The blindingly obvious truth that had hurt our eyes for half a season. Nothing to choose between either of the clowns and once again we just can’t get a manager to do what is needed.

Sorry Billy haters but he’s the only man to get a tune out of this club for 2 decades now. Time we at least credited him with that. Relegation Certs to playoffs in one season spending 6mil on Gunter, Anderson, blackstock, radi, camp adebola and McGoldrick. Not to mention McCleary, chambers, Morgan, Mcgugan, Cohen and Lynch developing into great championship footballers.

The longer this charade goes on the harder it is to understand how some folk persist in questioning his ability to do something out of nothing. Nobody since has created a solid defence with goals and victories. Just look at the state we’re in, yes we look good behind the scenes now, but manager after manager failing in the basics of building a solid team. I’m not turning on AK yet but he’s not filling me with joy and hope at the minute.

We havn't replace lansbury he scored plenty every season, now we have no goalscorer in midfield either, which just makes scoring an even bigger problem when the strikers are firing blanks.
Lansburys knew how to score from set pieces and play a set piece to score from, now all we've got is an overweight tomlin, who does the odd thing.

Great post 2Star. I think everyone knows the currency needed to get out of the Championship is having a striker that can score 20 plus goals. Britt could have been that player, but he wasn't around long enough, taking into account his injury. Before him, we really are going back to Earnshaw! I also agree with you on Billy Davies. He will forever be remembered for his unfinished business, but on the football side, his teams were well drilled, organised, and got results. If only ND had backed him in his first spell, in the transfer window, I'm convinced we would have gone up that year. Like it or not, he's been our most successful manager in modern times. Even when losing, he'd throw everything at it to try and get a result.

2Star a very good post and also very true.
Billy the King got so close.
Has AK the tools to get Forest Up next season?
Well that’s questionable, a major shake up is needed.
Marinakis will not put up with performances of late.

FF79, nailed it with Lansbury mate, no striker and now no goals from Midfield.
Murdoch, it was very daft to think the club was anything more than Bd making something from nothing. Without him we went straight back to relegation fodder , what does that tell you.

Can we please desist from king billy carry on yes he was just ok for us but behined the scenes different story if he was that good a manager he would be with onther club by now let's all move on pretty please😕

Not easy to move on when there is no progress. I have personally abstained from the using he word King. Sad thing is though for younger than 35 it’s probably the best they’ve seen - pretty scary that don’t you think?

2Star, the one thing Billy Davies was good at was motivating those players. It was just an average team, but he got them to perform week in week out. Ironically, I only ever thought BD was the man to get us out of the championship. We haven't seen any success since he left, and he came the closest to getting us promoted.

It was Dave Bassett 2 star that was a great season with donk and Campbell.
Frank Clark before that with collymore.

It was good under paul Hart until Doughty let our three best players go for nothing and then didn't back him in the summer window.
That side was very close with a couple of additions.
But your right only Billy since has given us something to cheer about

Never mind the King that was Billy. I can remember the Joker "Roy" Kinnear that nearly took us to division 4.AK has a respect for our history unlike the Joker. Let's keep things in perspective eh. One window was never going to be enough for Karanka. He will keep us up . Next season will be his starting point. The unadulterated mess that we found ourselves in was a long time in the making. We absolutely have to have a sustained period of stability

14.) 09 Apr 2018
09 Apr 2018 21:33:23
Have you seen the amount of managers marinakis has sacked in Greece?even though they keep winning the league.
Karanka will have to be in the top six in the first half of next season or he'll be toasted like the breadmans.
That's your stability,he wants a return on his investment fast and the only place to get it is the premiership,so there will be no mid table finish talked about next season ,it's promotion or out for karanka

Yes - Basset great season - kids born after 1990 have seen very few good times down at the CG. To be fair the promotion from league one will live long in the memory , but to us old timers we should never ever have ended up there . Dreadful days
