It has been an interesting week reading everyone's opinions on our current and past Managers. I do have a question for you all, and would be interested to see the responses. From our current starting 11, how many, if any would walk straight into one of the teams currently in the top 6? I would say none, and it kind of highlights the gap of where we are now, and where we want to be.

Think your right there murdoch, but then if you were to look at Millwall team man for man, then it could be argued we have better individuals than them?
It's not necessarily the best players that make a good team it's how they gel and how confident they are in there own ability and confidence in their teammates and the ability of the manager to get the best best out of each player.

Agreed FF.
Afraid I agree with you too Murdoch. A couple might make squad players. Toby and possibly Lolly.

Yes the manager is the key, what a job Harris has done . Despite an embarrassing quantity of attempts we can’t get it right can we?

Thing is 2 star if you look at the table at the start of January they were a place below us.
Just shows what a great job Harris has done

I'd say Watson plenty of experience and there is always room for a solid defensive midfielder

Interesting that so few names offered up here. Reality is a high mid table finish next season would be improvement! I agree with the Millwall comment. Team spirit, and playing for each other makes a big difference. The other issue for us is we haven't had a decent spine of a team to build around for years.

Reality for us is one thing the owners will want more than that I'm afraid.
You can see that in the signings,it's old pros with no thought for the future.
Personally I'd rather watch us build something and do well for a couple of seasons and get there with a sound base to keep us there.
No point getting there to get stuffed week in and out

Millwall captain Morrison was on the radio the other night. His main reasons for success this season if I remember right was team spirit, their style of play, being a new team to the league, other teams not knowing much about them and low wages stating some championship players are on astronomical amounts compared to them.
