Nothing wrong with Henderson imo. He’s there to break play up and keep possession and that’s exactly what he does.
Sterling was useless and lingard well those chance he had dear oh dear what a hash he made. Tripper’s crossing was awful. Maguire didn’t do too badly thought he brought the ball out well and won headers but that was about it.

My word so sterling is still in the squad? I remember a few years ago watching a tournament and vowing not to watch one again if sterling and I think it was Welbeck were the best we have to offer ! Dreadful players and stunned either are anywhere near the team.

It's not the players always it's how the manager wants them to play.
To me that England side has too many players who play out of position and a lack of creativity.
Never rated linguard,Ali is playing too deep and sterling is too wide,far more effective in the free role and dier is better than henderson?trippier crosses the ball from deep areas and rose should be in all day long before young.
Kane a scoring machine,Just needs the service.
Down to management and that's why there's no talk of us doing well,Southgate just isn't rated .

Thought Maguire did well apart from 1 mistake. Always a threat from set pieces and bought the ball out well. Take him over Stones any day. Agree about Lingard though. Think we might regret not taking a midfielder that can pick a pass and a natural out and out winger. But come on lads we won an opening world cup game for once so let's just enjoy that tonight.

It's the first game which is always nervy and we won for goodness sake, look at some of the bigger teams who have lost or only managed draws when they were expected to win.

How on earth you can say England are an embarrassment after that game I have no clue, some people just want to pick holes and bring them down. Once they got their pen they just wanted to play for a draw, next to no threat on our goal.

Thought Kane should have definitely had a pen for the first rugby tackle.

Makes me laugh all this negativity about England. germany were garbage, Argentina were garbage, France were garbage, Uruguay as well. why is it when we win we get slagged for not playing like a Brazil ‘70 team. when all these other teams struggle to a win they’ve “found a way”. sick and tired of our national team being slagged it’s like some sort of football snobbery. we seem in awe of any foreign players, I know 1 thing, I bet Germany wish they had Kane.
