Yates calmly scored through a crowd of players in a practice match, it would be great if the manager keeps him as a part of the squad.

I'd love to see him playing next to Watson this season but I'm not sure it will happen just yet though

I’m not bothered either way whether Yates etc play much of a part or not. If the manager believes they make us competitive he’ll play them. If he doesn’t then he buy. alternatives and they won’t play, it’s as simple as that really. He will rarely , if ever start with clough, Brereton, Yates, Worrall and cash so one of them will rise to prominence this season above the rest. Which one will be determined by factors such as injuries and suspensions .

2star, it is blindingly obvious if the manager believes Yates will make us competitive he will play him, if not he will not play him. I personally however feel Yates is ready to come on as a substitute, and start in cup games. I do feel some of the younger players have not been introduced to the first team properly and maybe that has hindered their progression.
