Wonder when the sqaud numbers will be allocated,a few empty numbers to fill 2 8, 4 6 and 10 maybe ,hope AK likes tradition and put players into accepted shirts for their position.

Carlo. I do not care what numbers players are given, it is how well they play and how successful the team is that counts. Tradition in all aspects of football is fading rapidly, success and failure will always remain the constant, success is all that matters and that is striven for.

I really do not think that Carlo is intimating any thing of the kind.
His point , I think , is that for many people , myself included, a right back wore 2 a left back 3, a centre half 5 etc etc and that again , for some supporters it is a tradition that we remember.

Creepy 1. My original point was not that Carlo's point of wanting players in traditional numbers for their position is not what we remember, or in any way having a go at him, just my stating how I feel. Carlo did state France used traditional numbers, where did they finish. That suggests to me he thinks traditional numbers make a difference between winning and losing, if i'm wrong then fair do's.

I would just point out that Vellios does not need a squad number as you may have missed the point that he will be moving on so there is no point in debating this further and no point in anyone getting upset about squad numbers as its the 11 on the park at anyone time playing for points that is the point of the League? Not sure what the point of the thread was in the first place as there is no point to the numbers players wear?

So hopefully this clears up the point you were all trying to make?

The only point that matters are the points on the board come August through to May and as these will be more points than last season there is no point in Foremoaners moaning or trying to score points by trying to wind the forum up?

Hopefully I have made my point and you all agree that there is no point in debating his matter or any point further?
