I am trying to look at this B.B. transfer with a balanced view
Can anyone on this site say to me that since Ben came onto the scene they have seen
Improvement in his game?
Yes he can be dangerous at times with is strength and speed but not seen much of that last year
What I did see is somebody more likely to fall over looking for a foul when in good positions
Not too good at controlling a ball when back to the goal looked a bit like Bamby on Ice to me certainly not giving 100%
However he could still turn in to a good player he has all the attributes but has he got the temperament who knows

When he is falling over looking for a foul it is up to the manager to say something to him if he does not like him doing it. Brereton's age means he has time on his side to sort out ironing out his weakness, he just needs a manager, and his coaches to be willing to train him properly. His temperament i would suggest is fine or the England set up would not keep calling him up.

I thought he played brilliant under Brazil as a loan striker I know it was only 4-5 games but against arsenal looked a different class so maybe at Blackburn it will bring the best out of him under a different manager he's only going to get better at that age are we so desperate for 6 million we can't hang on to him loaning out for a season would of been the better option

I've said it all along, someone please tell me what he's done in a forest shirt to suggest he's worth or will ever be worth more than 7m? He's clearly been made available and been offered out and only Blackburn have come knocking. Not Liverpool or Tottenham, Blackburn, that tells its own story. 7m is good business for a 4th choice striker.

GazzaRed Have you thought that the only thing holding Brereton back is the managers he has played under tactics? Should he go to Blackburn and their manager plays to his strengths and he scores 10-15 goals this season £7m is then looking like pocket money for him.

That's all substantial, he can only be judged on what he's done. He's been given a big chance to really stake his claim, he didn't perform well enough and now finds himself going to Blackburn its as simple as that. And to justify why he's worth more than 7m would be pure speculation.

You could say the same about our 12 million pound signing from Benfica. He couldn't get in their side and certainly not shown he's worth any where near 12 million.

Well we got 13 million for olly and he hadn't played twenty games and only looked good in flashes,7million is too cheap as strikers command more money and he finished top scorer for England in winning a tournament.
Always said whoever plays for forest as the lone ranger that they will look a poor player, they simply get very little service.
Brereton will get that service at Blackburn as they commit far more players forward than we do.
Personally think karanka will end up with egg on his face as if he can't start winning football matches and Ben starts banging in the goals the fans will turn on him

GazzaRed Grabban scored for fun at both Villa and Sunderland, at both of those clubs he hit the ground running. He clearly does his job better than grabban. Grabban was never worth 6m.
