Interesting article on Nottinghamlive written by Paul Taylor.
It seems our illustrious leader is in very good company when it comes to inauspicious starts to their managerial career.
Even Sir Brians record wasn't that good at the start. Very similar to AK's. ( not that I'm comparing them by any means).
Just think if old big ed would have been sacked after 30 games.

Don’t compare Sir Brian to Manuel. that’s insulting.

Difference was Brian had already won the old 1st division championship as a manager and got to the semifinals of the euro cup with the sheep,Ak had 1 good season in the championship also Brian wasn’t given an open cheque book like this bloke, had to wheel and deal in the bargain basement hope this bloke succeeds, my guess this is the only time i’ll mention him in the same post as the genius Brian clough

Don't forget Sir Brian had no transfer budget unlike Scorchio , he wouldn't have bought a keeper like Pants the most important position on the pitch , the 3 portugese lads would have played in the under 23's until they were ready for the championship (i don't actually think he would have signed any of them anyway ) he would have gone with a strong hard working midfield with pace , Brid , Geddy , Cash and Osbourne and two up top same again hard working and pace i think he'd have gone with Grab (Ben B if he was still here ) and Lolly , we could have saved £25 million

Not long after bc took over I remember going to a cup replay at Peterborough one night,we got beat and were rubbish we hadn’t been doing too well in the league and quite a few fans were questioning Brian at the time ,bad night all around our hooligans kicked off smashing up anything in sight afterwards no a good night for nffc, anyone else on here remember that horrible night,? But just shows even with bc’s track record he was under scrutiny from fans nobody is immune in football,

Ed: I sent you a post earlier about this string. I do not like some of the language being used here, what is your view on that?

{Ed001's Note - I am guessing you must have added this reply on the wrong post....}

I find it offensive that posters are now using almost racist terms to describe Aitor Karanka: Manuel, Scorchio. Don't expect other posters to take this just as a joke : it shows a distinct lack of respect. I don't want this site to become as bad as some of the others.

Since when has Manuel become a bad remark or comment?
It's OK to call the Warburton the breadman or Pearce pyshco is it not?
Manuel is a common Spanish name like jesus and Javier etc!
As you may not be Aware this is a banter site.

If you find Manuel offensive then I've no idea how you cope at a match with all the industrial langue chants and that's when children are about,that is far worst.
When Britt comes back with Boro do you think he'll get a round of applause??
Overreaction to a post that was a bit of fun.

Bsered you are very selective about what offends you, not a peep about some of the stuff about lampard , billy , or steve mclaren, but all our a sudden your ‘offended ‘ becauy a non British manager gets a bit of light hearted stick, havnt used the terms myself but your reaction to it as ‘almost racist ‘is ridiculous
