We all know what we saw the back end of last season, a side totally devoid of confidence. Possibly AK, s own doing, sometimes it was hard to sit and watch, and so frustrating. A radical clear out, many favourites gone or going it, s happened we move on. So with all these new faces it will take time to gel, new partnerships forming on the pitch . AK is here to stay till at least we are not in serious trouble in the league. its happened with us before we all hope it's going to happen again. We listen to the pundits in the media and l feel they enjoy knocking us, we'll when our time comes and we play the football we deserve they will say they all knew we will come good. You know we will!

I have one contention with your post.

How can new partnerships form with the chopping and changing.?

Yes a lot of players have come in but but Aitor should have used pre season to find the best players in his opinion, give them time to gel by trying to start them every game, only using subs for fresh legs, tactical change, or injury. Should a sub be far better than the player he has replaced the sub should start and the replaced player be the sub. That is what he should have done and be doing.

Aitor is like a kid in a sweet shop, i want this, no i want that, no, no i want that, give me, give me.

After 7 matches last season we were in 8th place with the same number of points as 5th place on 12 points under Warbo's kids and new time to gel players , Leeds were top deja vu , we had played Leeds , Middlesbrough , Brentford , Millwall ,Wednesday, Barnsley and Sunderland , in our team for the 7th match , the kids Jordan Smith ,Joe Worrall ,Osborne ,Dowell , Breraton and the new players Bridcutt , Clough ,Mckay , Murphy , I might be wrong but isn't it the coach's job to get the best out of players and find a blend of youth and experience ? I don't think we were far away from having a side to challenge for the top 6 without the wholesale changes Mr Karanka's ( not Scorchio ) has bought in , I think you lose a sense of belonging with all the changes , hope we win today and I hope we finish in the top 6 and hope redinexile is a told you so football genius

People keep banging on about how pre season should have sorted out our best 11 players.
Fact is so many players have arrived after pre season and they just aren’t match fit .as usual our injury curse has struck already.
So yes it will take time to get the squad up to an equal fitness so that they are all up for selection.
We will be fine.

Stags geling is just another name for. Excuse first of all how do you get eleven players to gel when there swapped every week not rocket science get your best 11 players on the pitch firstly and keep them playing every week not the players that cost the most players that are in form and as for this trash of impact subs if you were 2-3 goals up in a game you wouldn't need a impact stop being so bloody defensive get the team going out for the win and not a bloody bore draw

Remember karanka saying pre season he was looking to add 7/8 players to his squad. He's added 17 lol.
Now doesn't know his bed side. And feels obligated to play some of these players because he signed them.
He's caused his own problems.

Trentender You have not understood what people like myself mean by, in pre season Aitor should have realised what his beast is.

What it means is:

With the players he had available IN pre season to form an Opinion on what are his Best Players.

Once he has done that he then makes them his priority, trying to get them to gel. Off course players with little or no playing time are not going to be in his best team.

The rest of the players are then trained to do the same things playing wise as his prefered players, so once they are fully fit they slip straight into the team, when called upon in a seamless way.

All of the newer players once again are allowed to get fit and trained in the same manner as everyone else, once again once called upon they fit seamlessly into the team.

That way everyone is given time to come up to speed both fitness wise, and playing wise, no one is rushed to play. Players are subbed for various reasons, if they do well enough they get to keep their place as a incentive and the subbed player is then the sub next game, if they come on they have the incentive to do well.
