We've conceded less than three teams in top six which is a positive sign , if we can keep that up then start finding the net more often which I believe will happen then things will start looking up . Trying to be optimistic here 🤞🤞🙏🙏

Plans pretty clear, give the manager a promotion brief & ask him to work it out from back to front. Those that reckon he's a few results from the sack need to give their heads a good shake.

Particularly when, if you open ypour eyes wide enough, there's clear signs of boxes being ticked.

Season long project, I think the only folk fretting are the "I just don't like Karanka" clique.

I'm not overly superstitious but there are occasions when recent records come back to bite you. I understand we've lost our last 4 home games to Sheffield Wednesday scoring 1 and conceding 10. With our difficulty scoring and their current form that is on the up then tonight could be a difficult night at the City Ground. let's hope we can find a bit of form to turn things around because we certainly need 2 wins from tonight and Saturday to kick start our season otherwise we could be close to relegation zone than the top 6.

I hope the "Karanka" affect comes into play. He has won his last 3 against the Owls!
Summary from BBC Sport. Nottingham Forest have lost each of their past seven league matches against Sheffield Wednesday.
Sheffield Wednesday have won their past four league visits to Nottingham Forest by an aggregate score of 10-1.
In all competitions, Forest manager Aitor Karanka lost his first three meetings with Sheffield Wednesday - but the Spaniard has won his past three in a row.

Cjay what are the clear sign's that you can see ? maybe I'm wearing the wrong spec's , I've shook my head a few times and it just makes me feel dizzy , the fact's are 3 points from our last 4 games and 3 points from the drop zone , 6 wins in 27 matches , signing players to replace the one's he's signed pre season , staff car park at breaking point , AK deserves all the criticism he's getting from poor team selection to poor tactic's and poor transfer dealing's , if and when he does something good then we will all sing his praises , but he has to earn the respect of the fans and he can start with a victory tonight and then a minimum 6 points from our next 3 very winnable games

Managers sell themselves like any other employee in the world of business. They expect to be judged on results and outcomes, it’s the law of the jungle. Anyone who still believes football is immune from basic expectations around outcomes needs to give their head a really good shake. Karanka should be given the time to resolve this situation but in the meantime the guys and girls on here who aren’t happy with progress make points equally as valid as those that are. Personally think we need to address the shocking statistic that we haven’t ended there season with the same manager we started at with since 2011. Does this mean I won’t criticise poor performances and lack of goals - no way. What I will say though is there is progress and chances are being created, if the subsequent progress is burying those chances excellent . If the draws regress to defeats all be highlighting it on here whilst respecting the views of others even if their head shakes a different tune to my own.

People seem to be forgetting last season's 19 games he was in charge what changed then ?? All I can see is we have a lower win rate and still can't score and still struggle with set pieces all last season problems or as we got a clean sheet last game our defence is miraculasly fixed now

Karanka came in with a brief to get promoted this/next season. Otherwise he's out.

Given we were firmly stuck in midtable obscurity, the last 19 games of last season were a free shot at getting the foundations in for this season. Hence the dull attritional football working from back to front. let's not forget what Karanka inherited was about as far from a promotion mentality as you could get. Warburton was banking on the 5 year route.

Last seasons results are pretty much irrelevant. He'll get a legitimate shot at promotion this season, so anyone with designs on a ceretain amount of points in the next two or else, is wasting their time.

But the football is same just with more expensive players, how can last season be irrelevant with the results the same as those 19 games, 2 different teams same problems the only constant is ak and his tactics, 21 points in 20 games last season 8 points from 7 games this season definitely a pattern there, no one wants him to succeed more than me but I'm just being realistic that the same patterns are forming as last season or am I the only one concerned

That pattern will improve given time. Likewise the football, although I totally disagree the football ain't improved this season. It has.

What do folk want 9 games in? We ain't conceding many, we ain't losing many & we've played a few form sides. If that's the worst it gets then we're doing okay. Unless your only satisfied with running headlong at teams, there's absolutely nowt wrong with the tactics.

Pressure gets ramped up tonight & Sat though, games we should be winning.

The standards are better this season . Why oh why can’t we dominant set peices though ? It’s really annoying 😡

Cjay
You say tonights game is a game we should be winning why. Wednesday have won three out of their last four games. Yes we played well against Swansea but it does not mean we can demand a win.

At least 3 of those 9 were very lucky escapes with last minute goals always coming from behind so ok luck has been on our side but it will run out, nothing wrong with the tactics I've heard it all now lol, 4 at the back 2 defensive midfielders who drop into that back 4 huge gaps in midfield and one isolated figure up front, I just hope the Watson colback pairing is a thing of the past never know such negative football he is setting up to not lose which never works in the championship
