Having watched Portugal play very successfully in the past few years.
Winning the euros without Ronaldo, it is their team work and work rate and agression that really stands out.
So its very disappointing when our three Portuguese lads are lacking In the areas the national team excels at.
I hope they can turn it round. Not sure they can though.

Jesus. We never stop bashing these potuguese lads. Season started in August, it's still only seotember. Their in a new country in a new league. People need to lay off and give them a chance

The Portuguese lads are technically gifted,but you need a bit more than that to survive the championship

Kirkbyred people will focus on a record signing, these are the players that are meant to give the extra quality to the team,carvallhio has looked lost and is not adding anything at the moment,in fact especially away from home he is a bit of a passenger,I don’t blame him but think the manager could have done better with this huge chunk of his budget,this lad looks no better than zac clough,who in fact started quite well at the club,my gut feeling is that he won’t be here next season hope I am wrong, but think all of you waiting for him to settle in and suddenly become a driving force in our midfield are in for a long and disappointing wait

Watch the Portugal u21s, goncalves is their top goalscorer and top assister, carvalho is their talisman, everything runs through him. We just have to be patient, they will come good. Does annoy me though when people say 50 million worth of talent like we've spent that, we've spent 13 million on one lad. He's still only 20/21, give him time

I don’t think we intended him to run the midfield , I think we thought he’d create that extra creative spark and flair. We’re not getting that from any of them at the moment and much of your post is accurate. I don’t buy this give them time argument. If time is needed they weren’t the players for us. Dias and Goncalves no worries as we are only minimally financially exposed and it was worth a gamble. If caravhlo, like Goncalves was on loan with a few to a move I think there would be less concern. We should give him a season before we become critical though. Seems a lack of acceptance around here that questions can’t be asked about the sense of spending the money without it being viewed as on the players backs. Strange how the constant deluge of criticism fired at Watson and darikwa is ok though.

Maybe more a case of not wanting to admit that we might have dropped an expensive clanger. Deep down every forest fan that’s seen a few games must feel a bit disappointed, I wasn’t expecting ronaldo but I was expecting a player who could change games or strongly influence them in periods , not all games every game but some games some of the time. Flashes of it in the second half against Rotherham so let’s try and KTF for now. Irrespective if him being a Karanka favourite I don’t think AK is scared to turf any player out if they’re not up to it. We have more reasons than not to trust AK at the moment so I’m going to take that position for now.
