This calvalho topic.
Well I sincerely hope he comes good. In glimpses you can see he's got loads of ability potential. But let's be honest it's going to take him at least this season to fully adjust i. e. Hardun up.
But for 13m he should be upto it.
We didn't buy tomlin who in his short loan spell with us. Scored 4 and had several assists. He would of cost no more than 2m
And would of been fine in the number 10 role currently occupied by calvalho.
As for Dias and concalves think they will be gone in January when loan ends.
If we are in top 6 on heels of top 2. Then think our owners will splash cash to push us on.

Too soon to write the Portuguese loanees off. Dias is ahead of Goncalves, in terms of abilities shown so far. But a lot of football to be played between now and then. I hope to see both play live tomorrow night, if only briefly. I've a feeling they may have been brought in for loftier ambitions than Millwall at home. Time will tell. COYR.👏

Calvahalo is pretty much on a par with McKay so far, mckay created more assists and scored more though.

I thought the Dias and Goncalves loans finish at the end of the season. Tomlin is similar to Dias in terms of consistency. Both can be match winners in one match but then ineffective in the next.

Interesting debate. However, sometimes it takes players with less ability in a team to get on the same wavelength as more creative players who see the space and pass before the others move.
From what I have seen he is the type that goes slightly under the radar in games but yet seems to be involved when it matters with a telling pass.
Teams are targeting him so there is clearly more to his game than initially meets the eye and he does put in a decent shift out of possession?

I'm not here to knock Carvalho but it's amusing that when he regularly misplaces passes others are not on the same wavelength. When Osborne Guideora Watson do it there crap. They never get the benefit of players not being on the same wavelength. Just saying.

If Carvalho isn't the first name on the teamsheet by Christmas, then there might be a case to answer. Give him a chance to find his feet.

As for Tomlin, good player, but surely anyone could see why you wouldn't bring him in as the focal point for a promotion push. He's rarely fit & he does nothing off the ball. Back up, maybe, but I doubt he'd want to come for that. Infact I heard he was happier trying to push his way into the Cardiff side.

Tomlin isn't in Cardiff's squad so he has no chance in getting into the side. He has left himself in limbo, I would guess to collect his now inflated wages after promotion.

Collecting a million a year for nothing does have some appeal.🤔
