As it was non league day yesterday, I was wondering if any one on here went to a local game.
I went to watch my old team. I used too play for Dunkirk fc who now play in the Midland premier league (level 7 on the pyramid) very good standard and cracking game of football. Dunkirk fc 2 Coventry Sphinx 0.

It's a great way of supporting local non league ( any level below league 2).
As it was the International break and no premier or championship football, non league clubs offer discount entrance to attract bigger crowds. It usually doubles their average attendance. I had a pint, burger and entrance fee for just a fiver. Plus it's good honest football.
Try it next time mate.

Yes Ff. Proper football. The stuff millions play every Saturday for fun or a bit of pocket money if they are good enough to get paid. Many people put hour upon hour to run these teams. Many of these clubs are academies which mean they also have 4 or 5 junior teams run by volunteers.

Remember where we got Garry Birtles from? Long Eaton. Wes Morgan, Dunkirk. And our very own current hero Joe Lolly started out in non league.
So yes mate. Proper!

Good to take part in,but not so good to watch, rather watch young kids play.
Watching non league football just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid.
If you enjoy it that's all the matters.
