Should we bring Burke back?
If we did I wouldn't pay more than 4m
Let's face it. Since he left he as done nothing to warrant the 13m we got for him.
And would he dislodge cash. No way.

Does he bring something different to the team, and is he better than we have got already. Everyone will believe something different. I doubt he would leave for £4m

Burke would walk back into the side.

He's got lightning pace, physicality, runs at players & he's ready made for the championship.

Absolute no brainer for the right money.

Red always,I think Burke would be "lodging cash!!" 💴💴💴😂😂😂

If he'd rip championship up then why is he not being picked at West Brom

The squad as a whole has massively improved since he was sold. That has coincided with a loss of form for Burke. I don't see that we need him back. If we need to strengthen we should be looking for a striker not a winger.

We don't need him I'd rather play cash on the right although Burke has talent I always felt he lacked enthusiasm for the defensive side of the game and wasn't keen on tracking back

The trouble is not too many strikers are effective playing the lone role that AK likes so we really need players that can link up with the rest of the midfield to create better chances for our lone striker. Players with pace that naturally like to run at the opposition are just we what we need. Off course there needs to be a end product from the player.

I think he’d do will and fit into our style - especially at home when the bus is parked !

One trick pony, he's like grease lightening, but hasn't got a brain on where he's going and his end ball is crap, best deal we ever did, he's gone forget him, he was never that good.

AK we already have a dearth a attacking midfield options. What happens if Murphy and Grabban are both injured at the same time? That is highly possible, given recent events. We need a back up striker!

No more wingers. We need central midfielders. Desperately short in that position.

Im not saying Burke is the answer to the teams problems, but we lack midfields that run at opposition with pace. So we need to get rid of some of our present midfielders and replace them with ones that will frighten the opposition, and that have end product. There are some midfielders we have that can act as temporary striker, but AK's system relies on midfield to score, the lone striker is just there to hold up the ball and get into the oppositions faces, not really a true striking role. We have to get rid of players before bringing in more players. Or do we?

Ff799 has summed up my thoughts entirely! He will never make a top player without a brain?

If he was made available,I would try to bring him back. he was a brilliant outlet for us when we were under pressure.
He had the ability to hit teams with that suckerpunch.
Before he left he was definitely one of our best players. no reason why he could be again.
Just say'n 😉😉😉

Presumably he and his agent wanted the money so both jumped at it. Similar to Bamford who left us and has been loaned out by Chelsea ever since.
It depends on what type of lad Burke is. My guess is that he probably realises he made a mistake leaving Forest like he did and has failed to settle or hit form ever since.
There is no indication that he wants to come back but my guess is AK would only buy him if the Club could afford it, or if players on loan are going back in January or the Summer.
I too feel he would be a valuable addition to the team and could well end up being in the side to replace injuries to Cash, Dias, Goncalves or even Benny O.
Over to you Mr. Marinakis?

Hi skeggy, how are you keeping mate?
Can we also bring prince billy back to look after the youth set up and dougie to be the entertainment manager 👍

Wouldn't Billy be better off in charge of public relations given his inside knowledge of the press?

I’d go along with that as long as he’s based in Siberia 🤣

I agree 2tone. He'd be ideal for the salt mines, diminutive chap that he is!

If Luke Dowling offers Burke for sale than he clearly thinks he is not good enough and if he was still our D of F he would not sanction the purchase for the same reason. So we should not go near him with a barge pole!

Get Burke on loan with view to perm move it Summer. He never wanted to leave really but club pushed move through as needed the money. He will either be so low on confidence that he won’t get a look in over Cash, Lolley, Dias etc or he will come home and suddenly feel comfortable and at home and go straight back to the player we sold and provide very strong competition in the squad!

23.) 19 Oct 2018
19 Oct 2018 16:58:45
Your assumption is that he'd want to come back?

That ship has sailed,he only played a dozen games or so and we got 13 million, good business, did nowt for Scotland either,
Take him for nothing and see if coming home works?,but wouldn't want to pay a fee at all.
