Who really cares about the cup? Get behind the manager and the team for promotion. No team is on it every game, it's a long season. COYR.

I get wat your saying pal but it would have been Middlesbrough next round with a gud chance of a semi final appearance. A long time since that happened pal not since cloughie days have we really been a decent cup team a bit of nostalgia I know but nice all the same. We got a big squad and we have so because our gaffer says it's to meet the demands of a long season surely that includes all possible competitions not just the league. So our big capable squad didn't show up and got humbled again, getting beat I can take it's the manner of the defeat that grates me. Same against Leeds yes we defended well but we wudnt have had to defend so much if we didn't keep giving them the ball back and could pass 2 yards. So a big result needed Saturday because that's only one gud game we have played in 5.

Red dog - it would be nice to perform occasionally though? Without looking at results , how many games have we even looked like a well coached professional side? It’s not many

A good cup run can give a good feeling around the club and help build momentum, think how much better derby will be feeling about their performance last night they went for it played well and although ultimately lost to 1 of the best clubs in Europe they went out with honour we on the other tried to nick it with what amounted to a reserve team and were played of the park and humiliated on national tv by a 3rd division team which club will have a better feeling around it going into the weekend??
