Due to our central defence problem we ended up with a completely different shape and style.
Because AK still thinks Osborn can play left back, it meant two changes in defence instead of one.
Robinson is the best left back we have had in years so he should play there full stop.
So find someone out of what is a massive squad and get them to play there.

I wouldn't say we played with a different shape or style,thought it was a usual karanka style 4231.
Only difference was when Murphy came on and then there was a tendency to lump it without quality.
Lacked a leader that's for sure,Benny gives his all,but he's not captain material,

Our manager has said the team did not play in the style they had been told, more so in the second half, saying we played too many long balls trying to chase the game. That tells me our central defence problem had nothing to do with it.
One of the editors not long ago said a ex player is too thick to take in instructions, maybe we now have a whole team of them, if you believe our manager. 🤔

Perhaps I should have said 'different dynamic' instead of shape. Yes it was still 4231 but complete uncertainty down our left side. It's not Bens fault Cash had a bit of a bad day and that Dias offers nothing at all but I feel it would have been much better with our very good left back playing where he should be.

Many a striker has developed into a centre back, so how,s about using Murphy . It sounds and is rediculous but food for thought . Have seen it over the decades and can be successful .

I know mate but Heff is dodgy and slow and I can't think of any other player we have that could play centre back.
Only other thing he can do is play three at the back and have darikwa and Osborn as wing backs?
Think yacoub could play in a back three?

The problem is we have a manager who doesn’t learn from his mistakes an even if we had to play an U21 player at left back then so be it, osborn cannot play left back, Dias must have a clause in his contract to say he plays a part in every game
