If you believe the NEP our manager has said Defoe's wages made him not a serious thought. They also said that the club had plenty of options before they wanted Marriott.

Soudani has had bad luck, when fit his hunger has changed some games for Forest. Too easy to compare at a later date, what if Marriott came to us and was useless and Soudani stayed fit after going to Derby, setting the Championship alight.
