I think Karankas been treated abysmally shame on you Marinakos. I think we can give up on top six this season fellow Reds but due to Aitor we have enough points already to avoid relegation worries. Good on you Aitor you behaved honourabley and told the big Greek where to stick it. Good luck to a proud Basque, thanks for steadying the ship and getting us on track.

One 👍 and one 👎 Stokey. I get what you're trying to say but think there's a whole lot more to this story than meets the eye. Maranakis has steadied the ship and put a proper structure in place. I will give him one last chance to get the right man. After that, he's morphing into Fawaz.😐

So you've enjoyed watching the home games this season stokey? Hmmmm
Karanka has decided to go,he hasn't been sacked and yet your having a go at the owner who has filled the city ground despite some woeful performances?
Shame on you and all the rest who can't see past karankas poor home record and can't see the bigger picture that the owner wants success and it wouldn't have happened by winning the odd game.
You'll all forget when a new man comes in and gets the best out of this squad with better tactics.
The owner has made the city ground a good place to visit again with all amenities open and his kind donations to local causes and bringing kids back to the ground whoes parents would not be able to afford otherwise.
So think on before you have a go at the owners, they will be successful

We've all banged on all season bout the home form and karankas refusal to tactically Change at home when playing mid to bottom teams this as cost us at least 10 points. With those points we would be on heels of Norwich and Leeds.
Jokanovic will get us firing at home.
But he will need backing as we still need a
Keeper
Left back maybe
Centre back
Winger
Forward

799, I feel you do not understand what some are saying.

It is not, with RIE being the exception that they think Aitor is the holy grail of managers, that his teams play wonderful football, and anything else you can think of, Not At All.

It is just the case that history has repeated itself to some degree.

Just outside the play offs, having just beaten Leeds 4-2 and a bit of impatience from the owner.

You said yourself that he should have been sacked sooner. I said myself he should have either been sacker sooner, or later than he has.

Your statistics on his record with us make for some poor reading, but even with those statistics we are close to the play offs.

It just goes to show our owner will not mess about to try to get success, but again it should have been sooner, or later, not today.

Am i the only one that sees the money an has wasted players brought in and clearly not good enough.i think we all should realise this is a business

LC the bottom line is he hasn't been sacked,He's said so himself,he asked to be released from his contract.
It's his timing,he would have been in the dugout if he'd wanted,he didn't,no blame on the owners.

Who ever comes in it won't be long before the knives are out.
Shouldnt have got him
never rated him
what has he won
boring to watch
should be thrashing everyone at home
owners got his finger on trigger
Its been the same old same old last 10 years or so.
so sad

Good post FF.
Krankie had his chance to shine but he hasn't.
We aren't in a bad position and it could be a lot worse.
Hopefully marinakis has a game plan and will install a manager ASAP.
Despite the divided opinions it is what is Krankie has gone!
As long as the owner has the clubs best interests at heart then do be it!
Get behind the club.

799, I know i'm only guessing, but in my opinion his working relationship with the owner got so bad, maybe they are as bad as each other.

The owner then decides he wanted rid of him so kept pushing knowing full well how he would react.

In the mean time the owner put the feelers out for a new manager, once the owner knew a deal with a manager is close the owner made his move.

He took one more pop at Aitor, when the owner got the reaction he wanted he might have said, this just is not working out, how about we work out a compensation pack, we sign an agreement that we say only certain things to the media and that way we both get something near the best that is possible.

I could be wide of the mark, just like you could be wrong to believe what both have said to the media.

Either way he has gone and as usual at the games we will be cheering the team on.

Yes it’s strange , when you go on a banter boards you tend to get other people’s opinions

Can’t believe some fans can’t see that his win record was poor an we are only 7th cus this season a lot of teams are beating each other, he played dire football at home cus he was a counter attacking manager and he’s walked so couldn’t handle the pressure that was coming from above cus they want a return from their investment - mind boggles, the owner as done more than enough to get us back on the right track, 5 years of being a ghost club n now we get over 25k fans every week doing far more off the field just on field needs to click

Trentender, think you are about right. Unless you beat Burton 9-0 every week you are doomed.

Karanka was forced to leave, it's called constructive dismissal. The fact he might have something lined up at Madrid, makes the break easier. Owners are happy because they want a yes man?

Best just to accept he's gone and move on, not interested what could have happened, it's done and we have three very winnable games to come.
Get behind the team and no stupid demos against marinakis, there aren't many out there willing to buy a club that is worth nothing as it owns nothing.

11 Jan 2019 22:45:10
Scouse how was he forced?
He quit did he not?
No point reflecting on what's happened it's time to look ahead and see what happens next.
Maybe in time we will find out what happened but until then it's time to a grip and move on.
Marinakis has put in structure and steered the forest ship on a better course since the fawaz days,I'll agree he's trigger happy and doesn't like poor results but things happen for a reason.
A new manager will step in and he'll have to hit the ground running and they will realise marinakis won't suffer fools.
So keep our heads up as all it not lost yet!
