Hands up from me to say that I have no idea as to the pedigree of Benalouane other than that his stock in trade is that of a centre half and not a right/left back or midfield player being used as a stop gap.

As well as Robinson and Yacob have tried to play in that position it has not really worked too well not least of all because the whole side looks better when those two are playing in their preferred slots.

It was a position that needed to be filled not only because of the injury situation but also because in my opinion Hefele has not looked the part at all.

The Worral recall situation has it would appear been put to bed until June but I am not sure he was perhaps the solution some thought him to be anyway.

He played a fair few games during the reign of Mr Warburton and during that time I always felt that he was short of a yard of pace and could be turned somewhat easily but one hopes that we will see a better player on his return from Rangers .

I have to bow to Mr O'neills experience and knowledge and , as do we all, put my trust in his ability to do the job.

Very excited about tomorrows match and one things for certain in that I won't witness a performance like Reading.

So as alwats . . . .

I’m really looking forward to seeing players thrown out of the reckoning given a new chance. Bridcutt, Zak Clough are 2 that I really think could benefit from a decent man manager who will give them a chance. Some outcasts could all of a sudden change our thoughts. Clough especially has lost his way but we all know how good he is having seen him at Bolton. Not expecting miracles tomorrow but after tomorrow there’s 2 weeks to work some magic and make players feel like they belong again.

With you on that one johnyboy,it's ok not picking a player but they don't deserve to be cast aside and not stand a chance of impressing in training, ward said he'd never been treated so badly as karanka did to those he didn't rate.
