Apart from the Leeds game, the last few weeks have seen some of the worst football I can remember for a while. Perhaps it is reflective of just how poor the squad really is. Any news on when the two Portuguese flops will be leaving ? We need a real clear out, hopefully MON is just the man to do it

Another clear out red frog? Whilst I agree I’m not sure it can happen. Who would be on the list? Anisfarid, Clough, Watson, Bridcutt, Soudani, Dias, Goncalves, ward, Bridcutt ? There are nine players there, two on loan granted. Midway through Jan now so a bigger challenge to shift them. Let’s hope the large Technical team is working on this, I can’t see O Neil having much to spend if we can’t move some on. Perhaps we should accept a payday on Osborn, Cash or lolley. Make no mistake this is a tough gig for O Neil, I’ll be surprised (but 😃) if this season doesn’t just fizzle our like many before. Would we have played better in the last two games under Karanka ? QPR and Preston say not. Let’s hope for a better performance next week because it won’t take long for the goodwill to end, atmosphere felt a bit flat in the ground too yesterday .

I agree the first 20 mins and except for Pantilimon BC would have been out of sight. The team settled. Grabbon ran all over more than I have ever seen. Lolley is a class player but he is now closely marked. Bristol City played well and are on a 8 or 9 unbeaten run and are now seventh. I think the impact of MoN will be felt slowly as he makes his impact. He is an intelligent man and will have been on the phone last night to Marinakis with his thoughts. Incidentally he brought Dias on as choice of the 3 amigos as Dias must have impressed him most. There is a problem with Carvalho if the other two go back as he will lost without them

I was never a fan of ak but what I don't understand is the fans who did like him and went into mourning when he left are now saying we need a clear out, have no quality, yet wanted him to stay, does that squad look like its had 26 ish million pounds on it ???

The squad we have is built around the way AK wanted to play the failings in it have been there all season
We lack pace in the team
We haven’t got a reliable creative midfielder to give the ball to quick running forwards if we had any
We haven’t got any good crosses of the ball
All these I expected to be addressed this window it’s now down to Martin
He would have learned a lot from Saturday
As for me my Pre match build up and post match warm down was more enjoyable than the game

We don’t need a full clear out but we need to shift a few so that MON can bring 3 or 4 in. It’s the same fringe players that need moving on that needed moving on before . I didn’t personally hear anyone go into morning but I did hear people lament another change of manager and the potential upheaval that could create. I’m not convinced we have the players for 442 , if MON wants to play that I think we need some additions. Early days yet though.

Freddie, absolutely, the build up was brilliant but what a let down the game was. Plenty of goodwill for O Neil but he won’t get forever to succeed because a large chunk of our fan base don’t have that association with O Neil (a generation thing) and were satisfied with Karanka project.

We should loan them to Mansfield, it starting to look like a Forest B team, As for 442 can you tell me who plays that now in all the top leagues🤔 I’m struggling,
There was creativity in the middle, Cash and Osborn are predictable and Lolley looks like he needs a rest, Geddy errh past it.
I know slating the players isn’t really a confidence booster either, and people who slate Carvalho I’m afraid you don’t know a lot about football. Dias looks shot and afraid, Goncalves hasn’t had any game time either and probably doesn’t want to be here as probably feels unwanted.
MON has really got his hands full and trying to get any decent players in January isn’t going to happen, so forget play offs and sure up the defence and try not to concede, we need another 11points to be safe, get there first then experiment and start again next season.
Then have clear out in the summer, the squad is far to big to keep everyone happy and there agents who influence today’s players which is a problem in the modern era.
