Well 6 games in to the new regime and how are things sitting?
Fantastic I say. The feel good factor is back and cohesion restored. Players have responded, are focussed and appreciate thst if they work for the shirt they have a chance. No room for complacency the team look like a unit. Some call it hoofball but clearing your lines or advancing the ball out of defence is better than thst continuosly risky pitter patter playing from the back that clearly did not suit. The connection between the fans and coaching staff is part of the reason. With a fairer outcome from poor ref decisions we would be flying right now. Albeit we are still pegged back a bit the impact has been brilliant from Martin and Roy has moved in seamlessly. The passion restored and with it discipline, something we were once famous for. That loving feeling is growing on trentside.

There’s nothing wrong with a bit of direct play eventually teams will start to sit back which is when we play shortball. I think we can do both. I’d really like us to play 3 at the back (when we can) and have Osborn and Darikwa play as wingbacks with Colback and Yates. Then we can have Lolley Grabban Cash or Carvalho sitting in behind Grabban and Bonatini (though realistically Murphy)

It's also good to see that the team are able to adapt to different formations and thus keep the opposition guessing.

I do not expect anything special for the rest of this season. Not sure as yet if this is the right manager but am prepared to be convinced and patient with the man.
My one hope us that he is given a full season to see what he can do and that's something that hasn't happened for some time.
