I recall saying after the Derby game "As long as we don't go and undo all the good work with a loss at Stoke" Surprise surprise we did just that.

I don't think there is any easy way of saying it's 6 from 6 in the next two games or it's definitely game over for a play off spot. Just don't see it happening.

StevieC , it’s over I reckon, no team will make the playoffs without winning back 2 back games. Reality is MON is bang where Karanka was . Different ideas and formations but the same outcomes really. Glad we’ve got him but he like Karanka has got the same obstacles to overcome . The concern I had was that the big Karanka signings wouldn’t work under MoN because he plays a different game. I think Grabban will for sure but we need to get back our dough for carvalho. Derby play similar to Karanka , neat passing across the back, create space for play maker (which would be carvalho) progress forward. The issue with that style is some teams prevent anything progressing beyond the final third, just as we did against derby. I know lots of fans like carvalho but if you for carvalho MoN ain’t your man. I’m more for MoN and the type of players he will sign to be honest. Right now we’ve got a squad that lacks depth in the context of the new mans style.

The squad doesn’t have the mentality to go up and would be eaten alive in the EPL. Some good players but no where near enough grit and resolve.
