There are lots of Mangers jobs now avaiable and no doubt there will be more sackings very soon. There is the Villa job, Derby, Blackburn, Celtic, Northampton, Notts County, Cardiff, Everton maybe Hull, Leeds and more. I am concerned that our situation is dragging on and the best Mangers will be fixed up and we we be left with not much to choose from.

I forgot there is the Charlton job and the Watford to fill. I can see an influx of more Foreign Managers.

Sky suggesting that Di Matteo will be in charge of Villa by the weekend. Rodgers seems set for Celtic so that's at least 2 out the way. Can't see Northampton or Notts getting anyone that we would be after. Derby may well be Pearsons 1st choice as the squad there is more likely to appeal than ours.

If Pearson wants a challenge in the Championship why not us.

If he want to join a club where the owner states promotion is not essential he might join Derby.

I however think he will find a better club than either if us.

It's not as easy or basic as grabbing the best manager as soon as possible. Surely all the top managers available will bide their time and wait to see which posts become vacant before making a decision? I can't imagine any talented coach throwing himself at a mid table championship club before exploring all the options!

I have just heard from a mate in Derby that Gary Rowett is the favourite for the Derby job.
