Ref spoilt a decent contest. Could you honestly say colback dived? He was tripped, not badly but a booking? As for the sending off? Dreadful decision. No contact and mcgoldrick took a dive as he lost possession. Having said that pele gave the ball away cheaply and left us exposed.

Looking at the midfield Yates again chasing shadows and looks cumbersome and not very athletic. Cash was simply awful, made some poor decisions and was easily knocked off the ball. He has been found out. Sorry.
I thought we tried to play football but the final ball up to the lumbering murphy was poor. Yacob was class end of. Benalouane will be gone he has too hot a head. I feel for Martin and hope he gets the chance to rebuild. But i expect marikinajis to act but will be pleasantly surprised if he doesn't.

After all the clamour to give Yates a chance in the side maybe we can now put it to bed. After a couple of early promising performances he's now been found out as bang average.
He wouldn't get in any other championship side!
Why O'Neil chose to take Yacob off and move Cash into centre mid to accommodate appiah is anyone's guess. If it was to see how Cash performed there then I hope he's seen enough lol. It was painful to watch him squander possession and get knocked off the ball (leading to the second goal) all too often.
Some very strange decisions all round.

Fred, keep saying it myself mate , how many more ‘next stars ‘ do we have to endure before someone realises the academy simply isn’t producing the goods these days . How many performances we had to endure from Breteton before we realised he was crap was absurd, same with cash, is Yates going to be the same ? Walker maybe deserves a shot but I’d loan him for 6 months to MTFC if they go up and see what he does . We can have young players and I’m all for it if they’re any good. Gunter, chambers, mcleary, radi, Wilson, Cohen and Anderson were all early twenties or less but gelled well together for a few seasons do it can work.

Guedioura should walk into that midfield on Monday after today’s shower.Early season pep was bossing games.Has a far better range of passing than Pele or Yates.

Thankfully the replies are consistant with what i have seen on a regular basis. From the purchases to the academy its not very good. If grabban has been playing all season with an acilles problem then he is crock. Yes he maybe a fox in the box but he comes way to deep and is fragile in posession. Colback for all his early season promise gets booked virtually every game and is disconnected. He has ability but so has bridcutt and he has not even featured under oneil which highlights the massive squad of under average acheivers we have. Another observation their keeper was very slight but came out for crosses and dominated his box. Pantilimon, who had a decent game was still rooted on crosses. If not for yacob we would have got hammered today as the midfield was simply woefull. Sheff utd were not brilliant but they did look like a solid unit. Their manager is old school so don't harp on about we need a modern manager. Their team was full of british and irish bulldogs. In conclusion we have few players with this fluencey and endeavour and a new manager and more foreign imports is not the answer. We have a good management team of that i am convinced the squad is rag tag and valueless!!!!

Good post Rutland. The season is fizzing our just like last year. Let’s not forget how dreadfully it ended last year either. There is a resilience issue at this club, said at Xmas when the usual festive capitulation transpired - very frustrating!

Geddy just gives the ball away too often, puts in bad tackles around our box, and gets few passes in. He's not the answer. since Reidy left we have no creative midfielder who can dominate a game.

Wish people would stop going on bout giving walker grant ect getting a chance. They are not good enough
Their looking good now because they’ve found their level.
League 2. Maybe they might cut it in league 1. But that’s bout it.
Marakinos needs to shoulder most of the blame.
With all the foreigners he brought to club.
Karanka or anyother manager wouldn’t of recommended them.

Bsered I’m not saying Guedioura is perfect but he offers something totally different to the rest of our centre mids who just want the 5 yard sideway pass.Fact is when you try difficult through balls or passes they don’t always come off but when they do it can lead to a goal or 2.Have Yacob holding and let Carvalho and Guedioura play in front with Lolley and Appiah our wide,Grabban up top.

perks , first 19 games of the season we scored 28 goals Carv was involved in 9 of them , scored 3 and 4 assists for grabban 1 for cash 1 for lolley ( not bad playing in a new team/league/country ) , Geudioura and Yacob were in a lot of those teams as well.This isn't a bad squad were just not playing as a team anymore or getting our best combining players on the pitch. which is down to the manager.
