Great report creepy. I do still think what might have be become what might have been before O Neil arrived though. Rotherham and Blackburn at home was 6 points squandered but would that have been enough.

It just wasnt meant to be I suppose 2star but there has been a real lack of quality this year for me with the play offs a real chance for so many teams to just take things by the scruff of the neck a la Villa.
Looking at the league now if Sheffield United beat Ipewich then they are almost certainly up and this is NOT sour grapes because we were well beaten on Friday but they just don't look the part however they obviously deserve it and good luck to them but its just a bit galling

Maybe Wolves is an exception but most teams are promoted when they have been near or in the play offs the previous season. Sheffield, Bristol City, Leeds and Derby are prime examples. 3 of these will be more determined next season. Their teams play more consistently over the season. Our season was inconsistent sometimes beating the best and losing to the worst ! If . we can win 3 matches on the trot to end I will be more optimistic for the playoffs next season and of course with MoN as our manager all season.

Yes mate, I think we were well beaten by villa on the night but otherwise I feel we’ve been in games. Score line suggests we were well beaten by sheff weds too but Hillsborough won’t now yield points for many visitors I suspect. Sheffield Wednesday will be a force next season for sure . There are other games that i’d Pinpoint in MoN’s tenure that could have grabbed us another 6-9 points . As you say not quite good enough this season , hoping for two more wins as that will be a decent number of wins collected by Martin - I think winning the next two is quite important for the positive psychology of all involved with the club.
