I'm watching the Tranmere vs Forest green game ,I can understand the difference in quality ,but surely at any level players should be able to pass a ball to an opponent?
Its unbelievable to me that these guys do this for a living but can't do the basics.
I've seen plenty this season in the championship to be fair that can't pass a ball ten yards aswell.
I personally can't believe this just down to the players,I'm of the opinion that there are some very poor coaches out there nullifying their talents

Ff799, I'm a firm believer in most coaching staff in this country are not fussed about teaching technical skills just trying to make their players athletes that can run hard for long periods and learn the black arts.

I totally applaud the fans of tranmere and forest green and especially notts county fans,if that's top of the league then that's devotion at the highest level from notts fans,because quite simply that was dire.
We need to improve football at grass roots level it's the best time to achieve it with our clubs conquering Europe,
Spread the TV money about more evenly,we need the new sterlings,hendersons,Milner's,walkers kanes,plus many more at liverpool city and spurs,those managers know we need English players to keep our identity and to keep the fans happy.
Southgate's is moulding a very good England side from these top clubs,but we need to give more money to produce these future stars and give them access to better coaching.
It all starts at the bottom

2star, I know you have your reasons for bearing a grudge but do you not think, be it a footballing matter, a religious matter, or any other matter than continuing to hold a grude for certain people as a whole for what others before them have done just creates unnecessary dislike, or hatred in another generation for those people when most, if any of them have done nothing to deserve it, therefore it becomes pointless to continue with the grudge.

Red, no issue at all with Derby unless we are playing them , they are a decent club just like us. I’ve made it quite clear why I dislike county. Do you think our relegation to league one wasn’t a gift for them ? Sport is all about reminding others of their glee when it comes back the other way, which it often does. Do you really think they’d be silent if the boot was on the other foot? Get down, stay down (in fact get further down) I’m still breaking into fits of laughter every time I think of last week.

Sorry LC, I didn’t answer your bit, Unfortunately the majority of reds I knock about with all feel the same and we are purposely raising our kids to dislike county . It’s not difficult either as the smattering of county fans the kids know all display the same behaviours that I’ve described previously.

Regarding politics and religion I bring my children up to be tolerant and open minded. I’d prefer not to link perils that ensue from religious or political hate to having a dislike for a neighbouring football club where there is zero sectarian links . I doubt if laughing at Notts county being relegated will ever result in genocide across the city of Nottingham do you?

Red advises that the bile should be saved for derby , in the context of sport why should a forest fan dislike derby more than Notts county and can you faithfully say that you’ve never displayed any ‘bile’ on here towards Derby ? If it’s a no than fair play to you.

2star, I was not say the awful things in that have happened compare to footballs sadder side, just that the same principles of holding a grudge, and passing it on to the next generation applies.

It is one thing to have banter, but you make it sound as if you would not mind them going out of business, i find it sad even if it were to give Forest more fans.

I’m with 2star all the way here, that sad and bitter lot over the river would still be partying had the boot been on the other foot,and they will see all this sympathy from forest fans as patronising and be even more bitter and twisted than they are now towards forest, as I’ve said before I wish them all they wish us ,

LC, definitely wouldn’t want them to go out of business , when they give so much pleasure it would extraordinarily counter intuitive to want that.

I understand your perception of passing on any grudges or hate through generations but I’m quite relaxed that my children’s dislike of Notts County won’t make them politically, racially or religiously radicalised .

I and probably most forest fans have no wish to see county continue to fall but I have to say their fans hate Forest with a passion that astonished me when I visited their ground for a pre season friendly. Being called scum for 90 minutes was amusing to me but left me a little bewildered. Where does all the hate come from?
