Forest did not get McKay's full potential, but Villa are getting the best out of McGinn, so if you have a eye for a player there are players in bonnie Scotland that can cope, and thrive in the Championship.

Forest found out the hard way getting players from anywhere, let alone Scotland is not just about potential, skill, or them not getting home sick, it is also about the players character, and ability to adapt to his new teams way of playing.

Martin has off course worked for Celtic many, many moons ago but will he have either kept an eye on the players playing in different Scottish leagues, or asked people he trusts opinion about such matters.

I know many people like to put down players in those leagues but could Forest look for players there this summer. Forest off course need to find a way of to part company with at least twenty players first, though i doubt even half of that amount will go unless they get paid off.

Martin has spoken about more flair in the team, i'm not sure if he meant in the way Forest will be playing or the style of the players shorts 😆 but i hope for the best as i do every season, and look forward to watching Forest playing well.

McGinn is an exception. The simple fact is very few players in the top two Scottish leagues are capable of hitting the ground running in the Championship. McKay has hardly improved at Swansea.

We need Championship ready footballers not collecting 20 odd year old potential talent from Scotland for our Under 23's!

RIE, I agree we need players that are ready to play this coming season not the season after, or the season after that. You however said very few are capable so you must think some are.

Talent can only take you so far. Players need to be able to put the effort in and have the right mindset to for fill their potential. I would rather have players who work hard with some talent than lazy players with loads of talent. If you get talent and effort you have something special.
