Awesome footage. I was fortunate to be at a lot of those games. Puts modern footballers in the shade. The ted macminn tackle happenned very close to where i was seated. Pearce would still be in prison today for a tackle like that today😂😂😂😂
Great post 2star. The words legend are often used to describe a player. Its sits comfortably with this man and footballer. Psycho, psycho psycho!!!!!!!

When Stuart was Man City manager i called City and spoke to his secretary asking if Stuart could send my then 75 year old Mother a birthday card. She used to love him.
The secretary said "just a minute sir". The next voice i heard was Psycho himself saying "hello mate what can i do for ya? "
A five minute chat with the man about the good old days at Forest and a lovely personally written bithday card arrived the next day.
Free of charge. The man is sheer class.
We don't have my Mother anymore sadly but we still have her Psycho cardboard cut out and birthday card.

Gazzibaldi something similar with me. When pearce was at west ham and he broke his leg the same weekend my mrs wrote to the hammers asking if Stuart could sign a card for my 40th. Knowing Pearce was pribably just outvof hospital she thought no chance.
You can imagine her surprise and total respect when not only the card was signed but so too were photos and a really njce message from the striken pearce. It was posted from his cottage in the cotswolds. . i find it over whelming in reminicing that this legend graced our club for so long!!!!

Glad you all enjoyed it , I loved Pearce when I was a kid. Luckily for us he was at forest for a long time. Those years spanned most of my childhood that I can remember , for a few seasons I genuinely only went to watch him literally burst out of the tunnel , left top corner of the box in front of the Trent end, back to us a few toe touching exercises before turning to face the crowd for that famous salute. There will never be another feeling like it ever.
