Lucky I couldn’t watch it but turned the radio off after 2:1. It is still my belief that the dirth of English players in the premiership ( look at the recent ‘English’ club finals) and managers is responsible. Southgate was not a proven manager but obviously an honest upright citizen and a very good public face for the FA. With the current set up I cannot see the England team wining anything, we are too far behind. Let us hope the Reds do better this season, however I am 50/50 on that one

A booking for De Ligt was the correct call. Penalty AND a red card would be double punishment and the rule has changed to prevent that. It's only a red if he made no attempt for the ball, which he obviously did.

England bottle it again when the going gets tough and the pressure cranks up. Predictable.

I don't mind playing out from the back,but England players were just messing about at the back.
Continually passing to players in the danger area when they have a man on them only has one outcome.
Just a good job it was babel and depay and not Ronaldo we were facing.
As for stones how many more mistakes does he have to keep making? Been doing it all his career and yet we keep faith with him.
