You have to ask yourself why we not in competition for good players when they have the option of Leeds Fulham Derby Stoke WBA etc. We are predicted to come 9th by the betting fraternity this next season so proven young players ( like Lolley ) will choose a club with a lot better prospects. We Red supporters have to hope home grown players will improve such as Yates Appiah and Walker. Realistically they may take another season for fruition. We were lucky to get Grabone in hindsight and I suspect it will be Freebies and loans for us. The major challenge is to trim the squad which again will not happen till next summer. Maybe Keane left knowing that this would be the case and a likely outside the playoff finish was not enough at his age.

How do you know we're not in competition for any good players? Just becomes we're not linked to any doesn't mean we're not looking at any. The prediction by the betting fraternity and some using a 'supercomputer' means absolutely nothing.
