Having looked at the official squad it numbers 31. So as it seems to be difficult in moving the bang average players on i tried picking my best eleven from it.

Pants

Back 3 of milosevic, Dawson, Figarado.

Across the middle, Robinson, Yacob, Bridcutt, Ameyobi.

Advanced mids, Carvalaho and Lolley

Grabban up top

Now if we do not add any to this team, is it good enough, even with new management to attain top 2?
Not top 6 as the owner wants prem guaranteed.
I doubt it. This team would and should make top 10 again but no more. Thoughts.

If the manager decides on his best 11 early doors, tries to keep changes down to a minimum, plays to their strengths, we do not have too many injuries, and everyone pulls together we might, just might make the top two.

Sounds like Sheffield United last year LC except they had a small low paid squad with a point to prove not overpaid injury prone geriatrics that Warburton and Karanka saddled us with. We've got a long way to go to be top 6 let alone top 2.

If you’re gunna go for best 11 I’d go:
3-4-3 too probably.

Pants
Milo Figs Robinson
Cash Yates Yacob Osborn
Lolley Ameobi
Grabban.

I’d also be happy with:
Pants
Darikwa Milo Figs Robinson
Yates Osborn
Lolley Carvalho Ameobi
Grabban.

Top 2 don't make me laugh the most of the players that been have picked to finish in the top 2, played last year and struggled to finish top 6

Lamouchi has never used three at the back during his time at Rennes or Ivory coast, not sure why he'd start now. Forest started with a back three against Dundee but not sure that's how Lamouchi will be playing it come the start of the season.

Lower bc, I did not say they would finish in the top two.

You mentioned the players picked played last year, what you forgot to mention is Aitor took about a third of the season to decide on his best 11.

He played players out of position, and it as those players that rebelled against both Aitor and Martin, so everyone was not pulling together it was players against managers, to which the players won each time.

Sorry guys. Neither of the teams mentined above is anywhere near good enough to challenge for the top 6.
We need at least 4 more players who are Lolly standard to do that.
