There are so many parallels to be drawn between the words of Lamouchi and those of Karanka at the same stage last pre-season. Strengthening of the squad, signing experienced players, preparing for a long hard season, getting new players in early so as to get them to understand how he wants them to play and all that type of thing (to coin a phrase) . Time after time we have had this type of rhetoric spouted at us by an absolute plethora of managers and still we await some kind of definitive progress towards Premiership football. Surely by the law of averages, at some point, all the things that need to be right at the same time to achieve that goal will fall into place. I simply HAVE TO believe that this is about to happen, otherwise what's the point to it all. YOU REDS!
