Well it has finally happened, we have a manager / head coach.

Philipe was either turned down by Lens, or he turned them down the article was not clear.

I wonder how soon people's shopping lists will come out.

Is this a sign that everything else is going to fall into place shortly, let us hope so.

I can not say i know enough about him to say whether or not he will be good for the club, but i'm open minded about it. Good luck to him, and roll on the good times with a bit of luck.

34.6% loss in managerial career. Had promotions with teams he's managed. Preferred formation 433 so no more 1 up front. Let's hope he oversees his next promotion.

He's also apparently keen on bringing youngsters through. Don't know a huge amount about him but from what I've read he sets his teams up for attacking football, have gone on some good runs being difficult to beat. Just pleased we have a head coach in and seems to have reasonable pedigree with clubs he's managed. We need to get moving with pre season and sort things out so let's get on with it, welcome to the club Monsieur Montanier.

He was in charge of Real Sociedad when they finished 4th in La Liga and they played an excellent brand of attacking football, bringing through players like Illarramendi, Griezmann and Vela. The big two aside, Sociedad were the highest scorers in La Liga that season.

Very good wonky but they had eleven different players on the pitch!
