I don't know how many managers do this but the greats like Bielsa and Klopp start initial training sessions with new teams (and Forest are certainly a new team with all the additions) at walking pace literally to practice shape and formation. Then the drills just get faster. When Bielsa was at Newells Fc in Argentina an opposition scout watching his training sessions reported back that he saw 11 players lined up in formation walking about with no opposition, just the coach with one football changing position occasionally! Cloughies great innovation was to train at full speed, full on matches regardless of injuries etc because he reasoned that was how actual matches would be played. Hence the famous clip of him shouting at a slacking player in training " Young man, you're a bloody disgrace. Then ten press ups in the nettle patch!
