People keep saying that teams like Villa are still gelling and they will get better, well so are forest. 12 new players in and we are doing something the other teams are not and that is collecting points we are a work in progress and I hope that we have some stability now and give pm the time and patience through any dip in form to build on where we are now.

Yes, that is bang on. I could not agree more.

All teams are probably still gelling at this early stage. The obvious difference with villa and us is they've got more strength in depth and quality in their squad.
However considering the fact they've spent 50 million this summer they didn't look that much better than us yesterday.

Looking at Villa yesterday I thought they were a lot better than us but then again they should be. Clearly they haven't gelled yet but when they do they will (or at least should) be battering teams in this division, same with Newcastle and probably Norwich to an extent. The financial gap is now so big that steady Championship clubs like Forest, Derby, Sheffield Wednesday, Wolves, Leeds, Ipswich etc can't compete with the newly relegated sides. I have a horrible feeling that in the next 3 seasons at least 7 of the 9 relegated sides will go straight back up, which will ruin the most competitive League in the world. It's a rigged game now (and that's before we look at some very bias refereeing and tv punditry) . All we can do is try and frustrate those teams and beat those around us.

. and now I'm depressed! Still, was a great point yesterday against 12 men.

To a point you are right but with the right manager, patience, and academy you can get out of the Championship.

What you have to also remember is of the relegated teams that do not get promoted they could end up stuck in the Championship if they do not get out of it within two seasons.

If they can not get promoted in thelat time their appeal so diminishes to players they want, and the bank balance along with it.

Leicester did not spend a lot to get up in the Premier League.

They spent a lot over 3 seasons or so.
