Sorry to bang on about Burke, but it's the main reason why the team performances have fallen off a cliff. The three league victories in August were mostly down to his running and his goals. Who knows how many more points he could have earned us during September? Not only that, the thought of seeing him play made me want to go to the City Ground and since he left the matches are nowhere near as exciting. I don't see anyone else in the squad that could win matches single-handed, aside from Assombalonga, assuming he will play regularly. Selling Burke when we did was a major error and something no-one can blame Montanier for. We can blame someone else however.

Swiss, would keeping Burke have addressed our dreadful defensive tactics though?

Your right though we'd have won more by scoring more and at least it would have been entertaining!

It all comes down to why we go to football matches - I don't expect my team to win every time but I feel much better when I've seen an exciting match, even when the result has gone against us. I agree the defense has been dodgy, but I still enjoyed watching in August. September was a different story, for me anyway.
