It's reported by several sources that the American consortium were ready to go ahead on 22nd December. Remember they are the buyers who would have had to satisfy themselves that the deal was good. Now nearing the end of the first week of January and the deal is still not done. Why? Draw what conclusions you will, but this does not look good. In the meantime we are missing out on signings and other clubs are circling like buzzards picking flesh from a rotting carcass, squabbling over our better players.

Other teams can circle round trying to buy but fawaz can't sell any so they will be wasting the lee energy.

I think Friday is the day that the yanks will sign the deal and we can start to get some normality back at the club

My understanding is the Yanks HAVE signed but as usual we're waiting for 'you know who' to get his backside into gear. 2 weeks ago he said it was a matter of days for completion which is strange as the Americans have been ready since December 22nd. He's obviously not used to all this efficiency from across the water.
