Something that bothers me, and I know it won't bother others so much, is what chance some of our players who came in last year will have in the future in terms of their football, regardless of what we think of their ability. Vellios is on a 4 year contract, and to me he should be on the pitch more regularly as he is good. Bendtner is on a 2 year contract - but seems no more than a last 15 minutes steady sub. Pehaps he needs to look at lower leagues to get regular football and be loaned out? Carayol is on a two year contract and I would think is in the same position. Lam I think we can make into a decent midfielder (not centre back) so he can be developed, and he came to us on a free. Dumitru, Kasami and Hildeberto are here till the end of the season on loan so are not so much of a problem. Out of the 5 new players it is unlikely McCormack will stay, and Texiera is on loan anyway as is Tshibola, so we have contracts for Clough and Ariyimi. Personally I'd love to keep mcCormack but the wages might be too high, so we have to deal longer term with Vellios, Bendtner and Carayol. Thoughts?

McCormack seems to indicate his expectance to go back to AV, although doesn't lack enthusiasm at being herein the words he speaks anyhow. If he does well for us there is no reason he can't do well there, he is proven in champ and that's almost certainly where AV will be next year. With Bruce as manager though I think they will do ok next year. Lam, and Carayol should be sent on loan to see if they improve, if not cut losers. Kasami, is he Just on loan? If so he will go back next season anyway and so will Hilda and dumitru - hopefully. I do hope that dumi and Hilda don't get anywhere near the first team now we have better players.

I see what you mean Wishey: Perquis on a two-year deal, but I feel he's ok as a player, Stojkovic the same, but Traore on a 3 year deal, always injured and going nowhere unless out on loan or abroad/lower leagues.

These players could well become a drain on resources, unless they are on lower wages which is likely since we were under an embargo when we got them. At some point someone is going to have to have a huge clear out, especially as our youngsters come through.

Personally I would like to keep Hilda, lightning quick, good control (if not his temper) rough diamond. Unfortunately he's leaving come the summer 😥😥😥.

Hilda is a risk. Now we've got Ariyimi (who can trek back and tackle well - if you look at him in action) and who is fast, we don't need more yellow and red cards. Unless Tshibola can do it, we still haven't got a DM to replace Vaughan; Mancienne can tackle and be a stopper but his passing range is very limited. Texiera is an unknown quantity but doesn't sound a defensive player - so we are left with developing Lam or bring someone else in.
