On a lighter note away from all the negativity who would be your top three players of all time. Mine would be psycho collymore and Stevie stone. Lots of others to choose from but these were my favourites to watch.

John Robertson, Ian Storey Moore, and Stuart Pearce but difficult to only choose three.

Clough, when you say of all time you really mean your time. In my time it would be from the 50's Wally Ardron, 60's Joe Baker and 70's Peter Shilton, but as North Notts states for just 3 players it is very difficult.

3.) 27 Feb 2017

Robertson, Hooijdonk, Walker.

Fair play jb fan club but I supported the club since 1977 78 and yes it is difficult to pick 3 I could have named another ten in there. But my choices came from who made my hairs stand up on end more. Psycho for obvious legend status, collymore because I think he's the best striker we ever had and remember the goal he scored against man city to guarantee us third spot in the prem.

I travelled 50 miles no ticket and bought a ticket from a tout who wanted 40 quid but I only had 35 ( so I told him) and his mate convinced him to sell me one. I stood in the a block right next to the man city fans and the banter between both sets of fans was unbelievable, the euphoria and all those banners saying Europe he we come I'll never forget that. I chose stone because he just excited Me when he ran down the wing with the ball stuck to his feet.

Again I remember a game can't quite remember who though where he ran the whole length of the pitch, took on 6 7 players, skipped past 3 defenders sold the goalie a dummy, chipped him, had an empty net from 5 yards and missed lol. Wud have been goal of the season a bit like rod wallaces goal for dirty Leeds that won goal of the season I think in 92. I'm sure many would pick Robertson and would disagree with my choices but I loved those 3 ( not literally) the most.

We had world world class players late seventies and early eighties who excited us all plus dessie walker was one of my all time greats along with Tommy gaynor lol. Also like tomorrow's choice of van hooijdonk who undoubtedly was our most prolific free kick taker from any angle. So yes top 3 is difficult but I'm sure if lots of posts put there top 3 in we could have gud debates and discussions on all of them, would make a nice change from the usual depressing stuff we all going on about at the moment. By the way gud choices mate. 😆.

I must for the top 3 would be Terry Hennessey all day long, he was pure class. Better than Des Walker.

Roy Keane was brilliant for me and I'll never forget how he single handily tried to keep us in the PL. He showed leadership well beyond his years and clearly showed the world beater he would become. And he was a complete lunatic, a fir Pearce that season with Keane would have surely changed the course of what came and what is still there today.

Yes 2 star Keane was phenomenal even though he knew he was going to Utd he gave his all, remember his disgust when Sheffield Utd beat us 2 0 and relegated us and afterwards Keane said how outraged he was in the dressing room that players were laughing and joking talking about where they were going for dinner. He reckons they should have all hanged their heads in shame. A nut job yes but totally committed to the cause. Gud choice mate.

So many players let the club down that year Clough is God, I'm not sure if we ever cleansed the club of that virus because so many seem to see coming to forest as an ride and show us no commitment or passion - perhaps I just expect too much!

16.) 27 Feb 2017

Baxter, Cormack Metgod.

Redinexile

I had forgotten about Metgod, i went to a game with my dad and Metgod scored practically straight from half time whistle from a superb free kick. Dad missed it because he wanted the toilets.

That was against West Ham tomorrow. My dad alway used to drag us out early, the amount of goals we missed in fergie Time (of which Clough was the master) . He took my lad against villa the other week. When my son arrived back I said don't tell me when Brereton scored you were just turning the corner from the enbankmemt onto Trent Bridge when you heard the roar. I was! How did you know that, he asked! Priceless.
