The players have over the years said the pitch is too compact as only the surface of the pitch gets sorted every year, and could be the cause of some of the players injuries.

Lets hope it gets ripped up completely and start afresh, this is the start of a new era after all.

The pitch is regularly replaced, the last time about two years ago. The subsoil was replaced and new 'woven' turf laid.

To be fair the players have been complaining about it being too firmand the ball not bouncing correctly or running true.
The article was very recent.

Tomorrow i read same article was on official website very recently.
I know it said pitch had been relaid but i'm pretty sure the substructure hasn't causing it to become compact and firm.
