What are the odds on our new owner buying hotels, and restaurants, and coming to some sort of deal with the council where the owner moves us near to the City Ground to a 35,000 to 40,000 stadium.

Be all Rangers of odds on that one. 😆😆.

Think the idea of a new stadium is a long way off but should be on the future agenda. As much as I love the cg it is looking tired and old and if we want to bring our club up to modern day premier standard a new stadium has to be part of that. It's a shame we can't do wat spurs are doing and build around our ground and extend it, could just make it a bigger version of the cg. It's a damn shame the Trent is in the way.

Its not the trent in the way, its the houses behind Bridgford end that's the problem and always has been.
We don't own the land anyway so it would have to be a move.
Mind you if we could find the arsonist that burnt down the last business that wouldn't move?
Then you never know. lol.

A new main stand and face lift is more than enough right now and would transform how the ground looks. A good solid season with some good football and would be good enough for me.

Well 400,000 to 1 odds is very tempting if you are good for the cash for a £100 wager?

These guys are not going to mess about. The local councils either need to back the East Midlands Football Franchise and sort out the land and planning around the ground to allow a major expansion or we are off to a new ground.

Sustainable English Football is now about regional geography not local rivalry. Forest will need the potential for a 50/ 60k+ seater stadium to compete.

This is the opportunity our new owners have identified that Tizwaz and his hangers on never grasped! Hopefully they have the resources to deliver or at the very least will move us along the way to getting another major investment to create a world class stadium and team?

Prediction. All tickets will be priced to fill the ground for next season as without the feel good factor in the ground the team will never deliver.

A word of warning if the "Foremoaners" and "Little Nottinghamer" mindset prevails and we do not grasp the opportunity then we will end up moving to a ground near the M1 and morphing into NFLCDC FC!

"Exciting" times as ever but this time hopefully for the better as for the first time in my lifetime we have acquired a savvy football owner who actually understands and has been successful on the global stage.

So FF79 stick or twist on your odds?

Main stand is dated and a new stand in its place would be the answer.
My other half just reading it and says seeing as you offering a facelift can we take you up on that option, i'm not getting any younger.
The ground would look great and i'd try my best to smile in the ground. 😂😂.

Red getting ahead of yourself there mate.
I can see you getting plenty of offers for a bet there.
Predictoin on prices is a bit late he's already started and I've saved £45
Stadium is a long way off.
Get success on the pitch first he's only been here a day
Very impressed with him and not just talk.

Twist and rwist again long way off
Any idea what a ground of 50 to 60 thosand costs? Never mind the land which is at a premium, plus the infrastructure of roads bus and rail links.
Councils are on cutbacks, hardley likely to find millions to support football when thwy have more important issues like real life to deal with.
Council got burnt with the trent end developement they won't and can't justify giving us millions in grants when there are far more worthy causes.
Football should be like every other buisness and pay its own way not look for handouts
Im just looking forward to new season cudnt care less about stadia at this stage, just want to ne entertained on the pitch and not be a laughing stock off it.
All the vibes are I'll get that wish.

I have asked this before, but does anyone know how much we pay per annum to rent the City Ground.

Swerving the question on your bet then FF79?

Not getting ahead of myself just setting out where the club needs to aiming to be successful long term!

The ground is a major issue as there is no point in rebuilding a stand unless you can sort out the access to the ground and capture more match day non ticket revenue. 40k capacity solves nothing long term.

A lick of paint, more catering staff and pop ups until the 3 councils get on board and back football in the city so we can match the owner's ambition.

If the ground is relocated it will be funded as part of a major regeneration and infrastructure project which the public sector will support (its their role! ) as most of the cost will be private sector funding. Councils have access to cheap long term capital funding which is separate from the revenue account for services.

The owners will need to make an early decision on the ground with the council's involved before investing any serious money in the City Ground.

So you will have your wish to stay in your seat for now as whichever way they go will take time as there are major issues to resolve even expanding on site.

My main point is unlike TizWaz they will have a plan for the stadium which they will need to start on from Day1 in preparing the ground while focussing main resources on the pitch.

If they do not then the club cannot develop and we will continue to go backwards. Getting promotion may well provide ground funding but you need to have got your plans in place first to then be able to sustain any success on the field.

The fan consultation plans will start this process so as you will be presented with some ground options early doors if they are serious players!

Therefore at 400,000 to 1 if you are good for the cash I am very tempted to invest £100? Ha-ha!
