I see McGovern has surfaced again. When Fawaz was the owner he was never out of the news.

And? Is there a point you are leading to?

Talk surfacing (again) in the NP around us maybe having to sell Brereton, personally I think it would be insane!? This guy is going to reek havoc in the championship next season! He plays with no fear, and can only get better. there would be nothing more frustrating than seeing him sat on the bench, or in the reserves, at one of the big clubs, when he could be banging them in for us!

If Brereton and/ or Britt leave then I will NOT renew my season ticket how are we to get anywhere if we sell any of these two. We've got an owner with money so we are going to let FFP ruin our club.
When Fawaz was in charge I could understand the reason for it but surely Marinakos can underwrite the clubs debts.
If not then why did he bother buying it as we will never get to the Prem.

Not being pessimistic mate, just the new chairman's statement suggested that we may have to take a couple of hits in order to move the club forward. then again it's probably just the NP making mischief!

And so it starts.
The Greek was never going to splash the cash as we aren't in a position to do so regarding ffp. selling one or both would free up funds to bring in 5 or 6 solid players.
It's funny you mention McGovern as fans were asking where McGovern is over the last season yet you say he's always in the news?

I'd rather sell Britt than Brereton but I understand that Brereton would probably fetch more at present.

Wouldn't be a terrible idea to get £10m plus add-ons for him then possibly get him loaned back to us for a season, or maybe even two seasons.

That would be win win wonkey. big fee to stay above water and be able to improve the squad but still help him with his progression and we get to keep a quality player for a season to help us out. where else are we going to get a player that runs at pace, can score goals and scares the crap out of defenders and get £10million in ya bank for it?

If you read the article at is a purely speculative and hypothetical scenario presented by the paper itself, it's another nothing article by the paper which somehow manages to dupe us into thinking This is news ho from the clubs on press.
