Let's just except Britt is leaving.
For possibly 15m.
We need a proven championship forward to replace him.
Who do we go for.
Rhoades
Macormack
Getstede
Afobe
Woods
Wells
Hooper.
Bamford.
Wilson
Ings? Might still be injured.
To name a few. But what's your choice fellow fans?

Marco i would say all the players u have listed afobe would be the striker I would want or possibly gestede just my opinion.

Afobe or Ings, your having a laugh with McCormack aren't you!

I know i will get loads of thumbs down for it but I think the forgotten man (who scored 15-25 goals a season in championship for three seasons in a row before being top scorer in the PL) is the man. Charlie Austin would surely after disappearing into a big part role at Southampton be a cheap alternative and has the track record.

Afobe for sure but he would cost the same as what we will end up getting out of the Britt deal so we might aswell make Britt play out his contract.

When we do get a handsome sum for Britt I really do hope we don't just spunk the vast majority of it on a big-signing replacement. That's the worst possible idea. What's to say the replacement will score as many goals as Britt? Chances are he won't and we've just wasted millions. Again.

I'd rather see the continued, modest, spending on shrewd signings that best fit a system that MW would like to implement.

Spunking £££'s on fees and contracts for the likes Hooper, Rhodes, Gestede etc. is exactly the kind of thing Fawaz would've done to keep the masses satisfied. It's not the way forward.

Some good points wonkeyeyes and to be fair I don't think there is any chance of us spending big anyway.
Think he won't even sign a striker and just play Brereton down the middle and mckay right and Cummins left with clough behind.
Only danger is, they're all young.
Your right about rhoads and the others and it won't happen Anyway, their wages would be a massive problem.

Austin would fit right in. Play 2 on the treatment table for 5. Play another 2. Wages too high again. Even Afobe who is the only one on that list I would touch will be on huge wages. I can't think of any striker we could afford to come in but I think Warbo will have a lower lge player in mind or one from abroad.
