I'm struggling with some of the (so called) Forest fans on here, before the season kicked off I can't remember any comments saying we should be top 6, we all agreed progression would be a great season i.e mid table looking up? 2 league games in and three straight wins and some seam to have forgotten last season, I've seen post's getting at Osborne, brereton, Smith and worral. these are young lads who any team in this league and a lot in the Prem would snap up, yes there going to make mistakes and yes from Tim e to time it's going to cost us but that's how they learn. I'd rather have them making these mistakes and learning from them than journey men marking more costly mistakes like in the past and not giving a damn what effect it has on our club! We have a new young exciting team who will learn and improve but they need time to settle and blend so just get off there backs. Coyr.

So if a 18 year old makes a key basic mistake its classed as genuinely a progress mistake but if a 35 year old made the same mistake its classed as old journey mans costly mistake.

In my eyes a mistake is a mistake and all could be costly.

Wouldnt you rather people piont out the areas we are making costly mistakes (giving balls away to easy in dangerous areas, etc) . So they can be addressed. Progression is identiflying weak areas and improving them.

Darren, great post. If you're good enough you're old enough and if you're good enough and old enough to play then you are good enough to not make any more than an average amount of mistakes and old enough to not hide behind being young when you make them.

Wow! Do you honestly think that the professional coaches and management team need the mistakes pointing out lol? I didn't imply they didn't need correcting I was stating they don't need dragged down by so called fans who should be behind? I'm sure we all make more basic mistakes whilst learning our profession than we do when we've been doing the job ten years. Coyr.

76. There is nothing wrong with pointing out where the team is going wrong but how it is put makes a big difference, for example. The mid field need to improve on their tackling, as it puts more pressure on the defence. Although we are scoring our season will be better if we manage to tighten things up so we concede less, Or The midfield are useless at tackling, the defence is making the same mistakes as last season, we need to get rid off them. We will be fighting against relegation again unless the manager spends big.

Fighting relegation what a load of crap and you can quote me on that at the end of the season.

People do make more mistakes when they are staring out for sure. If they are exceptional talents they probably make very few which is why they are exceptional. Our academy players are excellent prospects and the best we've had for years but they aren't truly exceptional in most cases.

This over egging their ability and capability seems like the similar thought plain of over expectancy of where the club should be and what it's status is.

So here it is:

We've been out of the top flight for 20 years
. we have been in the third division for three seasons and nearly went back there twice.
The football league stopped us spending money because we were financially unsustainable this means there was a strong chance we'd go out of business.
Unless good things are happening out avegae gate is 20k
Relative to where we are our academy is first class but if all those players were truly expectional we wouldn't have been where we were last season.
The big hitters from the prem who we are light years behind would have signed them all.
Forest are a broken club being fixed and making there way to competitive respectability, the disease of over expectantly and the addiction to thinking we are something we aren't very nearly killed us, especially when an owner shares the same traits and recklessly goes about his business in the way he did. It's hard to grasp how much has to happen before we all realise there is no magic pass to the premier league for clubs like forest.

Skegs. You are not taking my post ho
W it is intended to be taken. I was simply stating two different stances one that is sensible, the other being negative, and it is better to be sensible and not overreact. Obviously you scanned rather than actually read my post, or have you been drinking the Stella already. l.

Correct me we did win Saturday?
So why all the doom?
We'll win tomorrow as well.
We've played three games and put out three different sides, giving most the squad playing time.
The team needs time to gel, wait a few games and then evaluate how good or bad we are.

I know, there's so much more to be cheerful for this season and people still pick:)

Something I have noticed is Marinakis has left MW to get on with it and Randall QC to make the announcements and seems to be backing the team and club very well.

How refreshing and nice that he doesn't appear to be pushing himself into the limelight like certain others did and is happy to take a back seat role.

Best thing that has happened to us for a long time. Thanks Mr Marinakis.

42. Very well put, the day to day running should be left to the people the owner has considered appropriate for their various jobs, only the major decisions should be of concern for the owner. If the owner stays patient progress might be made on the pitch aswell as off it.

Red to dead I agree with you totally on your first post. Young players make mistakes. Look at Worral. Sometimes gets caught out of position but everyone can see how much potential he has. He needs games to learn. Next season he and some of the other young uns will be superb. Stability this season. Ideal time to build and include the youngsters.
