Tonight highlighted the progress and the essential work to be addressed playing against a team that let's you play your football but is well organised, closes down and exploits weakness.

New signings continue to show MW has recruited well. Murphy gave a masterclass of centre forward play in holding up the ball, playing people in and getting into the space to score. We just need the younger players to look up and get on the same page to play him in.

The Vaughan, Osborn, McKay midfield axis gets over -run when the opposition closes them down and MW needs to make some hard decisions on who to start with rather than trying to accommodate all 3?

Finally, I have to nominate myself as a MattMillMoaner cheerleader as for me tonight was the final straw!

The team defend as a collective and tonight without being on top of our game we never looked under serious pressure until our serial Calamity Jane served up his regulation 3 card trick!

1. Commit a needless foul outside the box.
2. Get caught flat footed defending the free kick and then get beaten in the air by someone much shorter for the first goal.
3. Not closing down on the edge of the box on the break to intercept the chance of an angled shot for the second goal and then blaming everyone else! (+ Brentford= 4 goals against to our Number 5).

I am sure he is a great guy around the club is vocal and trains hard but we cannot keep giving teams 2 goals a game with him in the team? His career stats show he plays in teams that average around 60 goals conceded a season which is relegation form for most teams and is simply not good enough for this team if we are to progress!

0-1 would have been an acceptable result tonight despite missed openings and chances, until Calamity Mills made his entirely predictable contribution.

Gestede and Britt will chomping at the bit come Saturday if Mills makes another appearance. MW now needs to sort this centre half issue out once and for all?

COYR's.

Mills was appalling last night we need him sorting out because Britt will murder us Saturday if he's playing we need to get lichau back in the side and I'm afraid in Osborn although good on the ball if he's pressurised he's not a clue tbh the new lads actually look really good I personally would play Hobbs if he's fit which he must be as he's been a sub has for mills I'd pay his fare to anyone that wants him he constantly moans instead on concentrating on his own game time to go Mr mill, s.

Osborn needs dropping, you can't play him and Vaughan together and McKay is a better winger.

About time somebody said that about Osborn I was starting to think it was just me being really harsh on the lad.
